[SWSE] Are Jedi just plain better than everyone else?

Except that Lucas himself says the stormtroopers are cloned from Jango Fett. The disparity might be due to the fact that a lot of the clone troopers (specifically, the ARC troopers) were trained by Jango himself. Or, perhaps, after the Clone Wars ended, less time was spent on stormtrooper...

    I actually want a 4th edition! [semi-rant]

The minis are a cash cow right now. Don't hold your breath for a new edition to feature them less any time soon.

    Item Cards status update

Today is 2-6-2007 and I can't seem to order the item cards at TOGC or RPG Now. Are they out yet?

    Dear Hasbro: about those minis

The way I understand it, retailers get to use much less shelf space selling randomized minis. And you can buy nonrandomized minis from WotC at Paizo.com. Just be prepared to shell out for them. In the end, it is usually cheaper to go through eBay.

    D&D needs improvement

I agree that D&D/d20, like all roleplaying systems, is not very realistic. But a truly realistic game, I think, wouldn't be very fun to play. For better or worse, the CR system is designed according to not only a character's level, but also the typical amount and strength of magic items and...

    D&D needs improvement

Now that's funny - it's in a roleplaying game, so it must be true!

    Orcs vs. Commoner Humans

    1. Numbers. All the orcs involved are combatants. Most commoners in a community are not. 2. Weapons. If armed with greataxes, the orcs are doing about three times as much damage, not to mention hitting more often and with a decent chance of sundering the commoners' weapons. 3. Armor. Not only...

    Eberron vs Greyhawk

That would be a pretty badly run organization. I expect Hasbro is more efficient. And judging from the price and frequency of WotC books lately (not to mention the D&D Miniatures line), this would seem to be true. Someone is determined to get as much money out of WotC as possible. Not that I...

    Eberron vs Greyhawk

That may have been the original intent, but I suspect Hasbro's shareholders will demand otherwise, especially with WotC's book production being stepped up as it has. With the books coming out as fast as they are, every corner of Eberron is likely to be covered before long, just like FR.

    Eberron vs Greyhawk

I live in Russia, and have had no problems. I registered online, and was mailed my membership card. Remember, you only have to report playing the RPGA games, not actually play them. And only one of the participants needs to be an RPGA member. So you'd prefer to pay for GH material rather than...

    Eberron vs Greyhawk

I've never participated in a living campaign, but I do use their materials. RPGA membership is free now, you know. Might as well take advantage of it :) !

    I hope you're right.

    Eberron vs Greyhawk

Hear, hear! I tried FR when it first came out, but quickly grew tired of everything being contradicted by the latest novel, sourcebook, or computer game - I like the Realms, but it seems like every square centimeter has been mapped out and described already. I get the impression that Eberron's...

    Eberron vs Greyhawk

The largest living campaign ever? I'd call that far from dead.

    Eberron vs Greyhawk

Not a DUNGEON reader, I presume? DUNGEON has new Greyhawk material practically every month. Check it out!

Any Feats to Give a Fighter or Paladin Spot as a Class Skill?

If you're going for The Ultimate Archer, you'll probably want some levels in Order of the Bow Initiate, for which Spot is a class skill.

What's the most broken PC you've ever seen?

A 1st-level human monk with two flaws (Shaky from Unearthed Arcana and No Time for Book Learning from DRAGON Magazine) and the feats Sacred Vow, Vow of Nonviolence, Vow of Peace, and Vow of Poverty. Using a 32-point buy to give him the following stats: Str 14, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 8, Wis 16, and...

Parrying as a bonus to AC

You can check out the 3E Swashbuckling issue of DRAGON Magazine (I can't remember the issue number offhand). It contains several Parry feats. Basically, you're allowed one parry attempt per round, an opposed attack roll against an opponent that would otherwise hit you in melee. If you win the...

    Roleplaying a four Charisma...

You seem to have the perfect hook as a warforged - I'd probably play the character something like the Terminator: intelligent and canny, but completely inept at interacting with others. You could even give him a thick Austrian accent. Could be fun. :)

HOLY CRAP! Please tell me I'm wrong.

Do you really like to pick nits this much, or are you just out for a nice morning troll? :)
