    JollyDoc's Age of Worms!

The plot thickens, I see. I'm interested in hearing details about that battle; it must have been chaos to run all of that!

    D&D 3.x 3.5 Spells - Far Weaker?

I have to agree that the nerfing of the spells sucks; almost all of them were fine in my book. Invisiblity needs an longer duration for its purpose in scouting/spying. Now it seems like it's only useful for sneak attacks. I feel that wizards decided that all of the spells were now going to be...

    How have you tweaked Incarnum?

Jackelope King, I like the concept behind your changes, but are you saying that you've turned every meldshaper into freaky soul binders out from horror movies? The way you have described makes me feel that there is no way a good character would use incarnum. Heck, I'd be little too scared to use...

Welcome to the Halmae (updated 2/27/07)

It has been my experience that "kill the elves" is usually the correct answer. Heh, but then, I hate elves.

Monks unarmed attacks count as natural weapons for spells and effects, so yes, a monk can take the feat.

Can the "Cast on the Defensive" manuver be used during the "Read a Scroll" action?

Actually you can cast a scroll on the defensive. If you look under the "Activate Magic Item" section in the Combat chapter, it stats : "Activating a spell completion item, such as a scroll, is the equivalent of casting a spell. It requires concentration and provokes attacks of opportunity. You...

    Minor Magic Items

I've got an Artificer who wishes to start a business selling minor magic items. I don't mean potions of cure light wounds, I mean minor items that are useful but cheap enough for the common man to buy, such as: 1. A dragon figurine that flies around eating flys and other pests that are in your...

What monster killed your first PC?

My first character death was the first time I ever played D&D. It was Advanced 2e, and I was playing an Elven Wizard named Trent. The poor fellow only hade two hp at first level. He ended up dying at the hands of a spear-chucking goblin. Died first session.

Renfield: The Company of the Ivory Fang (Spoilers for Grasp of the Emerald Claw.)

OCC: Alrighty Renfield. I'm gonna sell the +2 Flail over the next three weeks while we wait for the Collector to appraise that tooth. In addition, I'm also gonna find someone to teach Jennsen how to cook... she grows tired of trail rations everyday!!

Renfield: The Company of the Ivory Fang (Spoilers for Grasp of the Emerald Claw.)

OCC: I'm curious about something, Renfield: how is our reputations doing? Being 8th level, we should have quite the reputations by now. But the thing is, how have people heard of us, considering the nature of our missions? All of these modules have been either "Cannith hush-hush" types, or out...

Renfield: The Company of the Ivory Fang (Spoilers for Grasp of the Emerald Claw.)

Jennsen struggles to smile as she walks over to Nox. Her efforts don't quite succeed as she stumbles over a pebble and slips, crashing to the floor. She moans in pain as she climbs back to her feet. " I've had better days. I think at least three of my ribs were broken when that freak clubbed...

Renfield: The Company of the Ivory Fang (Spoilers for Grasp of the Emerald Claw.)

Hovering some twenty feet in the air above the now ruined form of the giant construct, Jennsen shakes her head in an attempt to clear the fog and cobwebs produced by the monsters' Confusion dweomer. She looks down at the over-large form of a modern warforged and breaks out into laughter, only to...

For the first time ever, I've banned a player class from my table

I wouldn't ban the class. Having played an Artificer myself, I find that it is fairly balanced. If you go and ban the artificer because of one effective use of its abilities. You might as well ban all the classes ever produced. Given the right tactics and feats, any class can be "broken." If...

    Help with my Artificer

Wasn't there somekind of alchemy book produced by someone? Does anybody know what that was? I'm also interested in hearing about ideas for original magic items, if anyone has any.

    Help with my Artificer

Are there any books or what not that give rules for firebombs and the like? The stiff in the PH is meh at best, and alchemers fire at 6th level seems like a waste of time to me.

Are Potions Labelled in Your Game?

My character usually marks his potions with his own personally created symbols. That way I can identify them, but my enemies can't. I've had potions stolen from me in the past.
