    True Reincarnation

Thank you, Mustum_Ridcully! That was the answer I need. What is the level of this spell? Does it use the same table as reincarnation? And, if you don't mind, one last question: do you need any material components to cast this spell?

    Changing Attitude of NPCs

I totally agree with you at this point. However, how would role-play a PC with for example INT 5 and a high diplomacy skill? The PC maybe a little bit too dumb to find the right things to say to a guard. On the other hand, he should be able to talk his way through the guards... There are a lot...

    True Reincarnation

True Joke Of course. However, I still would be happy to know something more about the spell I mentioned. Btw, is there any spell template/metamagic feat "true" out there which changes any spell into a true spell?

    True Reincarnation

? Where do you need any boni for reincarnation? For the 4th-level standard form of this spell you only have to roll with a d%.

    True Reincarnation

Though I have ordered my copy of MotW some time ago, the book hasn't arrived me yet (I'm living in Germany). On these boards I have seen someone mentioning the spell "True Reincarnation" from this book. As the my group is in need of a resurrection/reincarnation spell in the moment, can someone...

    Changing Attitude of NPCs

First, I think the DM should use the diplomacy skill in the game. I know that many players and DMs think that interacting verbally with NPC should be handled via role-playing and not roll-playing. On the other side, players have limited diplomatic skills, often more limited than those of the...

    Changing Attitude of NPCs

Re: Re: Changing Attitude of NPCs Perhaps I should make clear, why I included the skills Bluff and Intimidation: Making a reasonable bluff can shift the attitude of people on the scale hostile ... helpful, at least in the real world. Also, a successful Intimidation should make people more...

    Changing Attitude of NPCs

The DMG (somewhere around p. 146) says something about changing the attitude of NPCs (hostile/unfriendly/...) by making Charisma checks. Changing the attitude from for example hostile to helpful (from one extreme to the other) requires a Charisma check of 50!!! How can this result be achieved...

    Divine and Arcane Scrolls

My question is the following: Do divine and arcane scrolls with the same spell on it differ in any way from each other? For example, can a bard cast a cure light wounds scroll crafted by a cleric?

    Drow Bladesinger

In my campaign I just allowed a player to enter the campaign as a NG female drow Brd3/Ftr3/Bladesinger5 fighting on the side of the good drow. An elf is an elf, so I don't know why a drow shouldn't be a bladesinger. At least a drow who prefers fair fights.

    Item Creation Feats and Prerequisites

Re: Re: Re: Item Creation Feats and Prerequisites Think of a bard with Item Creation Feats and a lot of ranks in Use Magic Device. For this character it would make perfect sense to use his Use Magic Device Skill together with scrolls/wands to craft for example clerical magic items.

    Item Creation Feats and Prerequisites

Re: Re: Item Creation Feats and Prerequisites Thank you, dcollins. Don't know why I haven't found it.

    Item Creation Feats and Prerequisites

So, the item creation feats are much more interesting for a bard or sorcerer than I thought they are! Do you know any references for the answers you have given me so far? Nathan

    Item Creation Feats and Prerequisites

I have the following questions regarding item creation: 1) A minimum spell caster level is needed for the various item creation feats (for example 12th level for forge ring). Do spell caster level of different classes stack for this perpose? 2.) Let's assume, I am a multiclass bard/sorcerer...

    Reincarnation - Specific Answers Sought

The ECL adjustment of +5 doesn't make sense if the reincarnated wizard doesn't receive all the benefits he would have if he had started as a sartyr, i.e. BAB, hitpoints, etc. On the other hand, the extra feat of a human would have to be discarded. BTW, I would give the wizard enough EP's for...

    WIELDSKILL much too powerful?

Okay, I have read the spell description a second time. I think the interpretation that wieldskill gives a bonus on ONE skill check within the spell's duration is right. So, this spell cannot be used in conjunction with the take-20-rule while inspire competence can. On the other hand, saying...

    WIELDSKILL much too powerful?

Hi! Do you also think that the spell wieldskill from MoF is broken compared with other ways to increase skill check results? wieldskill gives a +10 competence bonus on a skill, it is a 1st-level ability. inspire competence, the bardic music ability, gives a +2 competence bonus, it is...
