    Chaosium hinting at something big.

I believed we would be getting something really new, RQ or better yes Glorantha related but new. Maybe a Pathfinder Glorantha setting (Glorantha with Pathfinder 2e rules) or event better, a Pathfinder RQ like the Savage Worlds one, that would make it easy to do traditional high fantasy campaigns...

    Chaosium hinting at something big.

Anticlimactic was also my conclusion. I mean, the video was great, and Cults of RuneQuest is a great series of products for RQ fans... But I reckon I expected something bigger, bolder, different after all that teasing

OGL: Kobold Press 'Raising Our Flag' For New Open RPG

I agree, it isn't a problem of game system, it's a problem of expectatives matching between players and DM. It's kind of off topic here, but I'm more than 30 years of DMing, I haven't found that kind of problem (not dismissing at all, I am sure it exists, I guess simply that I have been lucky...

    Just discovered Castles and Crusades

For me it's the best idea of the whole C&C. I would love to see it implemented for a 5e, i.e. how to make it work within the fixed XP per level paradigm...

Kyle Brink Interviewed by Teos Abadia (Alphastream) on OGL, WotC, & D&D

I think you're wrong about that, I haven't seen the OGL in the SRD that has been released under CC: https://www.dndbeyond.com/attachments/39j2li89/SRD5.1-CCBY4.0License.pdf

List of potential post-OGL 5E replacement RPGs

Bugbears and Borderlands is my current favorite 5e-lite. I have been looking for a 5e-lite ruleset for years, I have found systems that I loved (Machiato Monsters, Index Card RPG...) but none was exactly the shade of 5e-lite that I was looking for, and I was too busy (lazy?) to write mine. And...

OGL: Kobold Press 'Raising Our Flag' For New Open RPG

Ok, just read the post, and I like it a lot! First, the global target: compatible but streamlined: And lots of monsters, yeah! Some details on February's playtest package! For the moment, I remain very optimistic 😊

OGL: Kobold Press 'Raising Our Flag' For New Open RPG

Oh, not really adding anything besides some useless expression of happiness: just received my Black Flag t-shirt, and I feel really pumped up about the upcoming beta! I really love KP adventures, and I think the upcoming game can be the right shade of 5e for me.... Edit: by the way, KP posted...

    SRD CC products.

That's better than my two original ideas: Beasts & Battlefields and Basilisks & Battlements... 😁

    SRD CC products.

I was also looking for something similar, and last week I found Bugbears & Borderlands, by @Sacrosanct, and it's exactly that, a new, modern, 5e based Basic/Expert. I have read it cover to cover twice, and I think I have found my new favorite ruleset 👍

Hasbro had big problems: layoffs, bad results

That was what I was thinking, a big and irrational pressure from Hasbro, that needs WotC generate ever more cash as they lose it on almost all other activities.
