It's now been - what? - 4 weeks since the crash and we're still waiting to get our CSA accounts back. To be honest, I would have thought that EN World might have run their CSA discount offer after they'd reinstated all the existing accounts, rather than create what has become rather a mess IMO...

That's pretty much my call too. Have the players ubdertake some reaearch and givethem appropriate Knowledge checks and Gather Information checks to drop clues and hints. Discovering you've just acquired a powerful artifact is supposed to be fun :)

That's probably why we survived then :) So, I wonder if they'll modify it (as already discussed) in order to keep it around that level, or just make it for higher level characters? They'd have to make some serious modifications to make it work for a party of 8th level characters.

I'm pretty certain that this is it. I don't think they'd upload an old database, do loads of work on it (as well as letting users update their own stuff) and then upload a newer version, over-writing everything. Just my opinion.

It's not a battlemap, so the scale would be way too small for that. If you're after a battlemap, this will seriously dissappoint you.

I've no idea what size a zipped dump of the EN World database would be, but it might be an idea to have a seperate server dedicated to back ups of the main EN World site. Since its not actually doing any serving, it doesn't have to be anything special - just enough to get the job done. It...

There's obviously a bug in the system, as it seems we're not alone. I think it needs one of the tech guys to sort it out.
