    How did they do that?

Bah. Dahak II could take it easily... (Armageddon Inheritance, if I recall correctly.)

Stargate SG1 and Atlantis last season (spoilers)

It'll be at least a couple years (if ever) before the library gains copies of last season, and probably a year after that before I get to the top of the "on hold" queue. So yeah, plot synopses, links between episodes, other spoilers, all those would be appreciated. Gateworld doesn't seem to...

Stargate SG1 and Atlantis last season (spoilers)

I've had an online source for the videos, and I lost track from the point I mentioned, to the start of the new season. So I'm not going to be able to see the rest of last season... :( I just wish that my favorite sites (gateworld and so on) would post more than a few technical details. :( :(

Stargate SG1 and Atlantis last season (spoilers)

Last season, I got as far as the militant race taking over Atlantis (during the hurricane), and about the same point in SG1 (Replicator 5 and Replicarter escaping). I come back this season, and not only has SGC retaken Atlantis, but they've also established a 3-4 week ferry service from Earth...

    Thundercats, ho!

@ Ironwolf: I can't afford a board membership (gotta eat and wear non-ragged clothes and put gas in the car), so I searched the first page of this forum (back three days) and didn't see the subject. Plus, it never hurts to remind people that they can now go buy the item. :) @ Brooklyn Knight...

    Thundercats, ho!

I was watching Comedy Central, and an ad appeared saying that Thundercats season 1 was available for sale. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0009IW8AI/qid=1124030407/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-9084997-4100025?v=glance&s=dvd Anyway, not sure who might be interested, but since I...

    Bored?

Given enough time to play, I can easily beat any of those scores. My best expert level was 120-ish seconds, but that was after about many, many games. I win on expert about every hundred games or so. The first 30 flags are easy. The next 30 are more difficult, but I can get them every ten or...

Where ya been? Tales of strange countries and hot chicks

The story I want to read is the guy who posted on EN World (doc midnight? don't remember, just guessing) about being in a bar, and being told that there was some sort of mystical connection with the cute goth chick at the end of the bar. I never heard the rest of the story. As for me, I...

Well this was scary as hell

In the case of this cat, it was skin cancer that killed him. White-furred cats and sunlight don't mix. (Unfortunately, it was my sister's cat, and my dad couldn't be convinced to put it down until after my sister had a chance to return home to say goodbye. Dude, half of his fricking nose had...

Well this was scary as hell

I came out of the house once to find our neighbors' two Rottweiler's chasing our cat. They grabbed it by the neck and flung him. I chased off the two Rotties (not really hard, and not much bravery on my part, mind you) and the cat was mostly okay. I did give our neighbors the big what-for...

    Strange Sight @ Home

Y'all don't watch much redneck TV, do you? The most dangerous words ever invented are, "Hold my beer and watch this!" :D

    Commuting sucks.

I work less than three miles from work. In the morning, I take the back way to work: I go through the residential area, bypassing at least one stoplight in the process (and, more importantly, I generally only have to deal with at most a half-dozen cars). I go behind the shopping center...

    419 scams and others

Sorry, kluge. You're assuming the scammers would be using their own money to pay for the phone call. The more likely result would be they'd charge it to a credit card. A credit card that had been stolen, one way or another. The best thing to do is to just delete the emails.

    Jury Duty

Last year was the first time I actually made it onto a jury. I got lucky: from being seated in the jury summons room, to being placed on a panel, to being selected for the jury, to going through the trial, to going in to deliberations, to conviction, all was done in one day, with hours to...

    Talon off on holiday?

I wrote Talon a few days ago, and haven't heard back. Okay, that's not unusual, I admit. :D Still, I have some store credit, and I'm trying to pick up the Castles & Crusades books. So is Talon taking a vacation? I've looked at his website, and it looks like he's rebuilding it. That could...

    Frukathka's out of control

Does he at least not quote an entire long post, only to add a one sentence comment? Because that's my pet peeve of posting (whether to message boards, newsgroups, or whatever). Trim, people! Trim! :p
