JLU season finale: "Epilogue"

YOU WERE WARNED!!!!!!!

I honestly didn't think the JLU writers could top the Cadmus-arc payoff from last episode, with the Big 7 taking on the Justice Lords (plus a Reverse Flash), Brainiac and Luthor melding into one being, the Flash being the one to save the day and the Speed Force mention.

But they did it, with a nice Batman Beyond episode, set 15 years after the Batman Beyond series.

Bruce Wayne is Terry McGuiness' father!

The episode is very emotional, and the sense of duty that Terry displays near the end is very well done! I'm so glad JLU is coming back for another season! :D :D

The last four or five episodes of JLU have been incredible. From the Superman vs. Captain Marvel to Superman vs. Captain Atom, the fights have been incredible. I especially liked the Braniac/Luthor "team-up" and Flash's bad-assedness when facing the BBEG.

I feel that this is the best comic-book adaption that I've ever seen on TV or in the movies or anywhere. DC has really raised the bar with this series.

Believe it or not...I shed a tear for Ace, and the way Bruce/Batman just sat down with that posture. They have risen the bar for this series, in so much ways. And for someone else, outside of the JL, to see the need for a Batman in the world.

Means a lot...very nice.

What are heroes, are they the ones, that have those incredible super powers, the high name recognition?

No...the true ones, the ones of humility and the drive, are the ones of wit, body and the mind.

Just with these three aspects alone...the incredible and the impossible...can be done.

To the Batman..

Very glad that they managed to avert the future we saw in the time traveller two-parter, where it was strongly hinted that Terry was killed by the time traveller's Joker-gang mercs.

Did anybody find it cool that they brought back Andrea Baumont in the epilogue!?!

I don't know about you, but being a huge "Mask of the Phantasm" I thought it was really cool to see that character again, though for only a brief moment. It would be interesting if they would have her in future JL episodes.

I saw and loved the episode. I was big fan of Batman Beyond.

Actually Batman The Animated Series (the first one), Superman The Animated Series and Batman Beyond and now JLA are some of the greatest cartoon series I personally have ever seen.

Well to be honest Bruce Timm wrote it himself… I’m not at all shocked. The man has the uncanny ability to capture the true essence of Batman in does so in ways that leaves us everyone else stranded…

Very emotional. I loved the tie ins.

I'm a huge fan of The Jackie Chan Adventures, but I can't stand "The Batman" because I have such fond memories of B:tAS and BBeyond.

Watching this episode, I was wondering why the hell I wasn't laughing. I mean, it's silly. Batsperm. I mean, seriously, they made Terry Batman's son?! When I type it, I want to mock the idea.

But they pulled it off.

And then the cameo of "Never thought I'd see you again, but hey, it's kinda cool you're here and still look good even when you're that old" Andrea Beaumont brought a smile to my face.

But it was hearing from Dana again that made me love the episode. I swear, from the first episode of Batman Beyond, I was convinced she was going to die, and Terry was going to be pushed into truly becoming the next Batman. I was just waiting for, oh, the third season finale, when she'd fall to the return of the Joker.

But then the series ended, and Revenge of the Joker was so awesome in its own right that I didn't even realize that Dana vanishes halfway through the movie and is only briefly mentioned at the end.

And so to see Dana again, that cute Asian girl, Terry's teenage crush, pick up the phone and sound like she managed to stay in love with a guy who is the Batman, . . . well, I'm happy.

(Even if 'adult Terry' looks kinda silly being so beefy.)

It would seem likely, since he resembles Terry (and Bruce) very much (black hair), as opposed to his own parents (red or brown hair). Would certainly open the way for a Robin Beyond...

Unless Waller's nanotech had an expiration date.
