Staring Directly Into the Invisible Sun -- A Review

Indeed. Expand on WHY we should buy--or not buy--the game, how mechanics work, etc, but don't tease us.

    Overusing Coincidence in Game-Related Stories

I don't normally retain an entire quote (I usually edit for brevity), but.... HEAR HEAR. Well said.

Gale Force Nine Sign Master License for Dune ‘Games’; Modiphius Designing RPG!

If it's that 2d20 garbage rule set.....major disappointment. I hope they pursue a different rules engine.

Start Your Travels In The Far Future With The Traveller Starter Set

See, the appeal of a starter set is usually that it's stripped down regarding rules and content, but it's also CHEAPER. A lower price point to dip your toes in the water and see if it's to your liking. 50GBP (which is $67USD) is not cheap.

Reload The Savage World Of Deadlands

Non-PULSED?!? It certainly is a Deadlands game. I think you mean "nonplussed".

Tiny Frontiers Means Big Science Fiction Fun

That's not at all what I said. I offered to James to edit his manuscript, since the first version of the PDF was rife with errors. He accepted my offer. My only "payment" is my name in the credits as a proofer/editor. (This was per my request. I mentioned that, if he was so inclined, a dead...

Tiny Frontiers Means Big Science Fiction Fun

I wasn't hired. It was volunteer work. I don't have an official degree in editing or anything...I'm just proficient with punctuation and grammar and can spot errors fairly easily.

Tiny Frontiers Means Big Science Fiction Fun

I edited a fair chunk of it, and I can say there are entire chapters that I offered to James that needed corrections and he...ignored me? had better things to do? was too busy with other issues? I dunno, but I can say there are parts that really needed a better editing pass and when I offered...

Tiny Frontiers Means Big Science Fiction Fun

I'm almost perplexed why this ^ game is getting so much love, yet White Star (which is dead simple) seems to be languishing. (Don't get me wrong--I have a great deal of respect for Alan Bahr.)

Clogs are very popular in some parts of the world.

Swords & Wizardry Is Back With New Art And New Energy

I love the rules--I have the E Otis cover version, and I have this reprint in PDF, and S&W's version of D&D just hits my buttons. The art is solidly "meh". The area I'm worried about is the overly frilly fonts. If you look above, even with perfect 20/20 vision, I can't tell at a glance the...

Rodney Thompson's DUSK CITY OUTLAWS Kickstarter Is Now Live!

I'm with Innerdude. I watched 30 minutes of a 90 minute video of a playthrough, and while I enjoy Sam Witwer, everything else seemed so....gimmicky. They never even got to rolling dice after 30 minutes. The dice I see reminds me of the recent Fantasy Flight Games RPGs, where you have "special...

D&D 5E (2014) This is the full set of 54 Tarokka cards!

I love the fanged mouth above the Innocent. I also like, in the Druid card, the far right tree looks a bit like a twisted man holding up the weight of the branches. His knees bend to the right, his hips to the left, and his head hangs low between his shoulders (which are the base of the...

Urban Horror In A Corrupt City: A Setting & Adventure Path for 5E, Pathfinder, and S&W

LOLWUT? The Squire level is $50 for Pathfinder or S&W in PDF. EDIT--My bad, I see what you're saying, now. Sorry. Apparently I can't delete my post.

FANTASY AGE Can Now Be YOURS!

I continue to be amazed that GR forces those who buy physical copies of their products to PAY for PDF copies, instead of granting them for free as most other companies do.

JOHN CARTER RPG Coming From Modiphius

Agreed. The 2d20 system is....I'll be politic and say "not for me".

Is Chris Perkins Working On A New D&D Setting?

Agreed, wholeheartedly. Goodman Games, for example, does a great job with 'setting lite' adventures, and I'd love to see more like that.

    Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Beginner Box

5 out of 5 rating for Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Beginner Box This takes a somewhat complicated rules system (the PF core rules) and simplifies & streamlines it to it's absolute basics. Great for kids, beginners, or those of use who want a "lighter" version of 3.5/Pathfinder.
