Setting idea - Let 4 Ape - Apes vs zombies!

https://breadthofpopsanity.blogspot.com/2024/04/left-4-ape-apes-vs-zombies.html This is a fairly small setting, but think it would be fun to show off. Not sure what to do with it, open to suggestions.

fallout 76 would make a great trpg!

Would fallout76 make a better tabletop rpg sandbox? I think the map is fantastic and there are some great stories that would be fun to interact with, but when you get there, they have already played out. I think it would be a much better world to set your game during the scorch ascendency era...

how does modern warfare look with flintstone level technology?

Ooh the Juggernaut <Censored>. I wonder if there is a 5e version of them? I wonder how their navy would work. Would they be able to float stone boats, wood, or do that ice with sawdust trick during ww2? Also which aquatic creatures would be trainable?

how does modern warfare look with flintstone level technology?

Ha I could also see a tank being essentially plates on a triceratops and with a catapult. :D

how does modern warfare look with flintstone level technology?

yet another brainstorming thread for my gneiss city world I started watching the flintstones and well ... how would modern warfare look like in such a world? Infantry? Cavalry? Artillery? Air Force? and anything else you can think of.

    Brainstorm for a Metahuman universe - Meta-Republic

This has always been a problem with heroes with flaws. I love GURPS I love Champions I love Savage worlds. but it always feels like the metagame is to take disadvantages to maximize points and not have them actually come up. seen too many optimization in these systems that just suck the wind...

    D&D 5E (2014) How I prep monsters in 5E D&D.

yeah, I just did some cross comparison and I'll post a few here, but I'm not seeing any patterns what so ever: I'll start with the Baslisk: Here's a comparison of the basilisk from "Flee Mortals" to the 5e Monster Manual version: Armor Class: "Flee Mortals": 15 (natural armor) 5e Monster...

    D&D 5E (2014) How I prep monsters in 5E D&D.

okay whose used Flee Mortals! and how? I keep looking at it to redesign my monsters, but feels like a serious can of worms. Is there a coles notes version for converting or building? It might be in the book, but I keep bouncing off it.

    Brainstorm for a Metahuman universe - Meta-Republic

let me tweak that. my original goal for this universe was that most superpowers are genetic are in nature and have happened throughout history, but the gene mapping project allowed it to be done consistently, with the first of this in 2005 essentially creating a meta "baby boom." My headcannon...

    Brainstorm for a Metahuman universe - Meta-Republic

agreed. I'm a sucker for a bit of randomness in superpowers, but it has to be balanced so you don't roll up a character that is unplayable. I'm thinking archetypes (ex. Brick, Blaster, Mentalist) with a random mutation table for flavor?

    Brainstorm for a Metahuman universe - Meta-Republic

Okay can i get any and all gene editing extrapolations that, with a little tweaking, could be used for superpowers? Mostly looking for real news stories that could be exaggerated, but also your own musings of the limit of the genome for abilities? Ex. I am thinking a superhero that draws on...

D&D General What to use from Flee Mortals! ?

yeah it hit every one of my nostalgic buttons and agree with the methodology, but trying to figure out a quick and dirty way to convert my monsters over to using this model (because, whoa Nelly, I have done a stupid amount of monsters and even starting the process is a daunting task). I really...

D&D General What to use from Flee Mortals! ?

i love this book immensely and it's amazing look at the monster manual. So for those whom build their own monsters, what do you use and why?

    Brainstorm for a Metahuman universe - Meta-Republic

I think I was having a kublai khan moment. i was lamenting about how badly the 50 states initiative was done and the raw potential. Then I started stewing on this era and how it could have been a lot different so one legally distinct brainstorm later and i got a writeup. However, no idea on...

    Brainstorm for a Metahuman universe - Meta-Republic

D&D General need help developing an adventure: Gneiss City Grit: A Rock Noir Mystery

okay my synopsis of yesterdays game. The framing device is that the party was hired by Doctor Bones, a doctor from the university of Stonehenge, whose fraternity has lost their mascot: the golden dodo egg. They start by investigating the scene of the crime, where they discover that the case...
