Yeah, drop Scribe Scroll and consider taking Vow of Poverty earlier. You don't get bonus feats for levels taken before you gained the Vow. Assuming your DM hasn't house ruled that. An easy drop in is Weapon Focus (Ranged Touch).

I did a little checking. Page 141 of the PHB talks about Touch Attacks in Combat. It mentions that Touch spells are considered armed attacks and don't provoke. Then it goes on to talk about Ranged and normal Touch attacks. Never mentions an AoO. No more than using Ray of Frost.
