    Where's the American Fantasy RPG?

Edit: 'So, mystical/alternate 1860s-1910s Southeast/mid-West with a tech level sitting right before/at cartridge firearms, candlestick phones, and Model Ts...? I'd play it.' 1880s-1920s is more Victorian/WWI. I was thinking (cherry-picked) Antebellum South to just BEFORE the World War. A solid...

    Where's the American Fantasy RPG?

So, mystical/alternate 1880s-1920s Southeast/mid-West with a tech level sitting right around candlestick phones and Model Ts...? I'd play it.

    Where's the American Fantasy RPG?

Fate also has a few official supers settings: Venture City: a 'superpunk' setting in the usual Marvel/DC mold, On the Wall, a teen school drama with elements of X-Men mutants, and Spirit of the Century/Atomic Robo for your pulp adventurers fix.

    Where's the American Fantasy RPG?

When I think of American Fantasy, there's one recent tale that I come back to: Over the Garden Wall. A dark, but whimsical, world of dangerous backwoods, paddle boats on winding rivers, and small communities of strangers, both mundane and mystical.

    D&D 5E (2014) Unearthed Arcana: 16 New Feats

So, Scout Rogue + Tracker (+ Sharpshooter, Crossbow Expert, and/or Magic Initiate (Druid)) is probably the best Ranger alternative we've gotten, huh? I NEED to give it a test when I can find a game.

D&D 5E (2014) Curse of Strahd 'Revamped' Boxed Collector's Edition

As long as anything new gets added/subbed in on DDB, I'm fine with this. And I got my hard copy of CoS back in 2015. Other than the map being pulled out, it's near-mint... I wish I could find a local buyer for my books. Going as-digital-as-possible doesn't mean I want to chuck these out...

Kids on Brooms: Wizarding School Powered by Kids on Bikes

Yeah, if there's going to be prejudice, it's going to be of the 'you're not as magic as ME' kind. Big ol' mystic meritocracy. Also, this should be also completely cross-compatible with the other Bikes games, right? Just give my old Kid a magic score or whatever and, BING, ready to go?

Thoughts on Vampire: The Masquerade 5th edition?

I hope they use Storyteller, at least for cross-compatibility's sake. And I hope M5 is going to be a thing. Just imagine what the Virtual Adepts are doing in the 2020s? Imagine how malleable the Consensus is probably getting these days? Imagine a game that's both fun to read AND easy to play...

Thoughts on Vampire: The Masquerade 5th edition?

Sadly, I ain't played it wither, but I'd LOVE to. The mechanics look solid and the lore is fun and dark (occasionally TOO dark. Freaking Chechnya...). I want to give the Duskborn a spin, especially. Now, maybe they could also get W5 and M5 out as well? Mage 20th looks fun, but these mechanics...

    Pre-Order The Altered Carbon RPG!

So, it's Eclipse Phase but the Earth didn't get Skynetted and resleeving is a proper luxury? Eh, could be alright.

D&D General Dungeons & Dragons Gets a My Little Pony Crossover

While I'll always suggest Fate Accelerated as the best option for a 'D&D Junior"-type game: if your kid/sibling is into MLP (and you're not willing to homebrew a Fate setting), then it is NOT a bad choice, either. I STILL find it weird that they outsourced that one.

D&D 5E (2014) New Errata Released For D&D PHB, OotA, Xanathar, and ToF

Yeah, that one of the less mentioned pros of D&D Beyond: that can be updated with errata like they're patching a video game.

    The Labyrinth RPG Is Out!

I've seen it, and it looks pretty good, but it still feels weird that it got outsourced. Could have used it as 'D&D Junior' gateway setting for kids. Kind of like how Tails does it for the whole medium. Also, for anyone who doesn't know, Tails is by the same company as this Labyrinth game.

    The Labyrinth RPG Is Out!

Those guys read 'disrupting the D&D schedule' as 'not doing Dark Sun'. But, yeah, MLP should have been another 5e crossover book like MtG and the liveplay settings. Unless figuring out how to get around the setting subrace-locking magic to the unicorns and the usual 'races with flying speeds'...

    The Labyrinth RPG Is Out!

It still surprises me that Hasbro didn't have Wizards do that one in-house. Why license that out when you have an RPG division?
