Help me unfold a plot to PCs

Even better: have the PCs pursued by some of the ghosts of the lizardfolk, who want them to find the hidden shrine, and eradicate the Evil that has been brewing there...

    Rediculous adventuring groups...

Oh, got another one, inspired by this thread: Intelligent Bag of Devouring, with class levels! Probably using magic or psionics for movement, or simply with a high enough Ego to have some "mule" carry him around. Hmm... maybe use Leadership for that. :D

Great uses for cursed items ...

Sure there's a need! :D Let's see... an intelligent magic item knows Common, can communicate through empathy, speech or telepathy, has vision, hearing, skills and/or spells, and when wielded by a weak-willed individual may even be able to tell that individual what to do. (Little Shop of Horros...

Great uses for cursed items ...

Then again, about 1% of magic items are intelligent, right? Hmm... [gears whirling...]

    Zero Gravity?

Well, for one, the combatants would have essentially no control over their own movement in zero-G. They may be able to push themselves off from other objects (including allies and opponents), or learn to flap a cloak to "swim' through the air, but rotation is going to be hard to deal with...

    Ruling on AOO

Keep in mind he will also need a Move Action to "Control a Frightened Mount" - which also draws an AoO.

No, it's awful that you insist on playing in a game system where it takes complex calculations to figure out what the most tactically sound next combat move is! :p ;)

    Unorthodox Paladins

I've always wanted to play a non-LG "Paladin" who was really a Ftr/Clr in game terms, but called himself a Paladin in-game. Just to mess with my fellow players' minds... This book just ruined that idea for me... :(

Yup. That doesn't stop people from calculating their optimal amount of Power Attack to maximize expected damage output though. Heck, I believe there was even a seminar on that at Gencon a few years ago...

    Is this adventure idea/setup logical/railroading?

Couple of comments: - If the villagers are trying to frame the goblins, why should they tell the party that "they have caused no trouble for ages"? - Skip the "cattle was killed by some other wild beast" red herring. One red herring is plenty! Let's just say the werewolf escaped one night, and...

Fine - expected increase in damage. In D&D, the expected increase in damage from a +2 arrow is independent of your chance to hit in the first place (provided you stay within the 1-20 range). In GURPS, the expected increase in damage will be highest if your chance to hit is 50% and drops off...

Close, but still quite different. Putting contact poison on the leaves means that the effect could potentially reach much farther, and would make the PCs very paranoid about *any* leaf they see blowing arbout. Each leaf would also be a separate poison attack, rather than a single inhaled poison...

And one that could be useful *or* a hazard: Exploding seed pods that impale seeds in anyone within a 10' radius (Ref check to avoid). Can be harvested and used as a grenade-like weapon. Anyone taking direct damage from the explosion will also take 1d6 damage every day, until the seeds have been...

One more: A plant with leaves which act as a sleep contact poison. Not too bad, until Fall comes around and the whole forest is whirling with leaves! Anyone succumbing to the poison will quickly be covered by leaves and turned into compost by the time Spring comes around...

Ooh... Corpse Flower! Rumored to be the largest flower in the world, smells like rotten meat. Nobody realizes that the central flower really *does* contain a corpse! When the flower is bloomed out, it opens up and releases a zombie or skeleton-like creature. This creature will first...

Nobody's doen a triffid yet? Or is there a copyright issue with that one? How about Audrey II from the Little Shop of Horrors? Give it some Charm ability to convince someone to feed it. Great if you have a druid in the party who likes to collect plants. ;) Personally, I'd prefer to see more...
