as a player i only ever saw a catapult in use once. me and 3 more PCs used a catapult to destroy a watch tower full of badies from afar. fun, but a fireball would have probably done the job better.

tome of magic sound interesting, more magic is always fun (although not necesserly needed). players handbook 2 looks nice, considering that the dmg 2 had lots of good stuff i'd expect phb to have something interesting too.

sorcerer of caurse. casting spells can come in usfull all the time and it's lots of fun too, even the most basic spells. plus i don't have to actually learn how to use magic like a wizard does, it just happens as i wish.
