    D&D 5E (2014) Need Help Clarifying a Warlock Pact

As for where: Warlock Invocations and Boons (5e Class Feature) - D&D Wiki Looking at a 2 player party, Druid of the Moon & Feylock so having a connection between them would be appropriate. For the Pack ability:

    D&D 5E (2014) Need Help Clarifying a Warlock Pact

Well, I am the DM, and it will be a 2 player campaign so the concept fits well. Also with just 2 players I'm fine with a bit of power creep, they're playing for fun not optimization. What would be considered a "positive effect"? Because the invocation has the spell you cast affect the other...

    D&D 5E (2014) Need Help Clarifying a Warlock Pact

It that 1st line that I'm not sure about. Spell affects? Non spell healing? Bonus from a magical item? Is it optional? (probably not to limit its power) Thoughts overall? Again, not all of makes sense on 1st glance.

    D&D 5E (2014) Need an idea for a player.

Got a query for anyone paying attention. I came across list of Warlock pacts and found one that seem great for a 2 player party Pact of the Supporter When you finish a short or long rest, you can designate one ally as your bonded ally. You can only have one bonded ally at a time using this...

D&D General I made a free Android app, Game Master Journal, that helps keep track of your NPCs, Cities, and Loot! I hope some of you find it useful!

Looks nice at first glance. Just a thought based on my personal style. I prefer doing stuff from my PC, but enjoy the convince of looking at stuff from phone. So if there was some way to say store the info (and access it) via something like a google drive doc/spreadsheet it would be awesome.

    D&D 5E (2014) Need an idea for a player.

Even when starting at 1st I think player should a College in mind. So any suggestions for a College that is more combat oriented?

    D&D 5E (2014) Need an idea for a player.

Going to be starting up a game with 2 players and need some options for 1 of them without overwhelming him with choices. I'll be running it on "easy mode" so optimization is not needed. First player will be a Druid. Other player wants something for "agility based support". He's new to pen...

Got the PDF, but some reason trying to scroll or page down on it gives a horrible lag/delay.

    D&D 5E (2014) Levitate is a save-or-die spell

Floating in space you have zero weight. The planet Earth is floating in space. Therefore Mage Hand can move the planet.

    D&D 5E (2014) Levitate is a save-or-die spell

It's almost like we need 2 versions of Levitate; An elevator version you cast only on friendlies A combat version that's like tying a giant balloon to someones pants

D&D 5E (2014) Correcting ripple effects of slow resting variant

You can also make a difference between a short rest sleeping on the ground while wondering if you'll get attacked versus sleeping in a bed in a locked room. Exhaustion could be either 1 long rest or a short in a bed.

    D&D 5E (2014) Levitate is a save-or-die spell

If the creature being levitated threw something and was treated as if weightless, then the reverse would be true. If they were hit by something then they would be treated as weightless and be moved/spun by that contact.

D&D 5E (2014) Has anyone made feats into tiers?

I had only thought of it a few hours ago so no current plans. Concept on the spot, without in depth thought: This really depends on your power level and how you sort feats into high/low power Currently every class gets an ASI at 4, 8, 12, 16, 19 Change to: 4, 9, 14, 19 for ASI or any high or...

D&D 5E (2014) Has anyone made feats into tiers?

It was just a random thought when I posted this; but the concept was having 2 different 'paths'. One gives ASI or Powerful feats and the gives the Character or Garbage feats. In essence you'd get more total feats than normal, but less of the powerful ones than currently.

D&D 5E (2014) Has anyone made feats into tiers?

Basically you allow more of the weaker feats, but restrict the stronger feats?

D&D 5E (2014) Brainstorming some better naval combat rules

Just a few quick thought right now. In general I prefer Option 2, but I'd like to suggest an expanded version or maybe Option 3 that combines a bit of the 1st into the 2nd. The chance to avoid should not be so simple. It can be if the speeds are vastly different, but even if the speeds are...

D&D 5E (2014) Homebrew: Removing Concentration From The Less Popular Spells

Some thoughts to think about. Increase the the concentration DC for each spell after the 1st. Either +1 or +2 for each, or more extreme 2/4/8/16. or When making a concentration check roll for each an every spell separately. and/or Make a concentration check every time you add a spell after the...

"Your Class is Not Your Character": Is this a real problem?

Since we have offical insect druids, I dont see sewer druids be that far off. And your plumber guild could actually all be druids. And no I wouldn't consider this the normal for most fantasy settings. But then again who really knows what's all in the sewers of Waterdeep?

"Your Class is Not Your Character": Is this a real problem?

Background and Class are not required to be 50/50 split. Some players will consider the background something the character did for barely any time does not affect the final result. Others will consider where you came from as the most important thing about themselves.

"Your Class is Not Your Character": Is this a real problem?

In no particular order. Characters need identity, not classes. A background can be more important than the class. The Why is important for any kind of improv. A large fantasy city with an extensive sewer system would be considered to have it's own ecology. Any ecological system would be...
