    WotBS Most Important NPCs?

Torrent and Katrina are my main two choices early on. I think my next goals will be an Inquisitor, Tiljann, 3WR, and Shalosha, then start thinking about other notable NPCs that hang around a while, like Rantle, Kathor, possibly a couple of the more notable Dasseni Lords, like Gallo. Currently...

    WotBS National Colors/Flags?

Does anyone here have any thoughts about ways to visually distinguish forces from certain armies? I've thought about classifying the typical looks of each nation with a certain color theme, but I'm not sure which really works best. My headcanons below... Gate Pass is a very blended city, and...

    WotBS Most Important NPCs?

I'm thinking of putting in a Hero Forge order for some minis of the most important or influential NPCs, from the War of the Burning Sky campaign path. I'm wondering what you all think are the most relevant or important characters to include? My initial thoughts, mainly considering the first...

    WotBS Tolamaker's Burning Sky

Even compared to elves, fey are greatly long-lived... the awkward love triangle dance between the three might have been going on for a century or two before Anyariel's untimely death, followed only a few years later (practically the blink of an eye for "functionally immortal fey") by the fires.

    WotBS Tolamaker's Burning Sky

(my own musings, as this is coming up quickly in my playthrough) I do like that angle on the Anyariel/Gwenvere/Timbre triangle. As functionally immortal fey, Gwenvere and Timbre would have been acquaintences, friends, or rivals for ages... but the love of the mortal Anyariel would have easily...

WotBS New Campaign Planning... Integrating Backstories [probably spoilers]

The Drakewarden is able to consistently change the summoned drake to different colors, and thus different elements. Do you think there's any place in that mechanic, to imply a Biomancy origin? Perhaps an escaped or stolen experiment in combining various draconic bloodlines with the ability to...

WotBS New Campaign Planning... Integrating Backstories [probably spoilers]

Anyone have thoughts on a way to incorporate a Gnomish Drakewarden Ranger into the greater world of WotBS?

    WotBS Trillith-Inhabited Heroes...

So, as a small update, the hero in question is a Dwarf who, after consulting with the player, is actually a nephew of Lord Dashgoban himself. Going off of the descriptions in the guide, I decided that Dashgoban is a leader who is satisfied in his own station, and prefers patience & caution in...

WotBS Here we go again! Planes, the Burning Sky, ancient Orcs, evils and more

Same. There's a clear point that Steppengard created the Ninth Land for himself, marking a notable shift from the old ways. There may have been a ceremonial title of "King," but I imagine it only served to denote who was the chairperson of the council of lords... Steppengard took that title...

    WOIN Custom Career

Not sure what the framework of this question is... are you asking about how to build a thematic archetype in a particular game system? If so, it might help to know which game system you're discussing. In D&D 5th Edition, for example, the Mounted Combatant feat can apply to nearly any class...

    ZEITGEIST Seas of Zeitgeist 5e

A video from Critical Role displaying the potential power of spells like Control Water, when it comes to sea combat... obviously, the GM can modify the effectiveness at their discretion, but as written, you can really mess up another ship with magic (possible spoilers for Campaign 2, Episode...

    WotBS Trillith-Inhabited Heroes...

Agreed. Indomitability only triggers if the bearer is "dying," not "dead," and a Zealot Barbarian with 3 death fails is technically "dead and still on his feet."

    WotBS Trillith-Inhabited Heroes...

When endowed by or granted a boon by Indomitability, you gain the following benefits: You stabilize whenever you are dying at the start of your turn. (other stuff too) I would take this to mean that you are "dying" if you are at zero hit points and not stable (i.e. making death saving throws)...

    WotBS Trillith-Inhabited Heroes...

And of course, now the Wild Magic barbarian wants to change to Path of the Zealot. Awesome... I might still be able to use the trillith concept, just twist it around a bit (kind of like how in Critical Role Season 2, Jester is a cleric of something that's... technically NOT a deity?)... If...

    WotBS Trillith-Inhabited Heroes...

Right now, we're just finishing the Chapter 1 Gauntlet. Kathor only got to see him in passing, but gave him an odd look... he recognized something familiar, without really recognizing what it was he noticed. When they get to the farmhouse, Crystin, too, will sense some degree of familiarity...
