I use the 4E standard array in Pathfinder or any of the combinations on the chart on the page after. I want the PC's to be on equal footing.

Assuming it does for me what it advertises, the Advanced Race Guide will go into the "must haves"... at least for me. I don't like using the standard HHHHEDG races. The Bestiary 3 will also go in there...

Core Rulebook Bestiary I Advanced Player's Guide Bestiary II In that order. Everything else is, IMO, unnecessary...

I have one character who proves that "Lawful Good" doesn't have to mean "Lawful Nice". He fights for justice and believes in doing great deeds, but he doesn't want any recognition and tries to keep people at a distance. He's tough and gruff. He believes in a Lawful Good society. He's just not nice.

I sold the mass majority of my 3/3.5 books when 4E first came out. Like BECMI and 2E, I kept only the core books, monster books, and special 3rd party books.

I've decided to take the simple route. If they sell the magic +1 flaming longsword, they'll get half value. If they decide to transfer the powers to an existing weapon, they'll get full value. Make the appropriate Spellcraft check and time and done.

I just play the game and have fun. Occaisionally, we'll buy a new book and use it and still have fun.

The sad thing is that this is beyond awesome, and I'd love to see more stuff. My household watches the new show religiously. I think it's innocent enough for kids, and some of the topics are subtle enough for adults to enjoy. EDIT: HEY! I want page 35!

It's not the players. That part goes fine. The problem is that even in a small battle, the PC's rarely ever hit, and the monsters have the same problem. So by halving the monster hp and increasing their attack power, the monsters hit more often, and when the PC's hit, they make a bigger dent in...

I've been DMing D&D since the magenta Basic box, then to BECMI then to 2E, 3E, 4E, and then went to PF, so I've been around the block a few times too. :D
