Mongoose acquires Twilight 2000 and 2300 AD

You forgot to list two similar genres there, post apoc and zombies. The overall campaign is getting your USA troops back home from Europe. But overall, instead of mutants or zombies, you lean in more on warlords and bandits. Your treasure is canned goods and ammo. Just let your inner prepper...

The Legend of Vox Machina Free on YouTube for Limited Time

For the longest time the best D&D movie to me was this (with a D&D designer in a cameo):

The Legend of Vox Machina Free on YouTube for Limited Time

As a side note, I suspect one of the barriers to getting a short/long form drama being made for D&D for the longest time was a focus on taking the material too seriously. It doesn't have the pop culture gravitas that LOTR does. In fact, for the longest time, I would have given my eye teeth for...

    D&D 5E (2024) CBC Radio does a D&D episode.

The CBC radio podcast talks to a professional DM and runs the host through a little scenario.

The Legend of Vox Machina Free on YouTube for Limited Time

I'm not a CR fan (or anti-fan) but wasn't the original adventures in Pathfinder? That would have tempted players to pick half-elves, I suppose. Everything is subjective so I find the writing serviceable, but not out and out bad.

The Legend of Vox Machina Free on YouTube for Limited Time

Like Arcana, this show exceeded my expectations but in different ways. And yeah, it has that vibe of a typical campaign. For me, that vibe is with the PCs being a bit lost at first (because the players don't know what to really do yet) but things pick up as they find their purpose.

D&D Beyond Releases New Free D&D Adventure Featuring 1980s Cartoon Characters

As far as I know, Battletech has not rebooted its continuity yet, which was my original comment. How stringent they've been with said canon is another story. :ROFLMAO:

D&D Beyond Releases New Free D&D Adventure Featuring 1980s Cartoon Characters

Thank you for the correction, my good fellow. So that leaves Battletech then.

D&D Beyond Releases New Free D&D Adventure Featuring 1980s Cartoon Characters

About the only genre franchise I know that have not rebooted/retconned in some fashion after 30 years is Doctor Who and Battletech. Doctor Who as it seems continuity has been a low priority for the BBC overall. And Battletech because CGL seems stubborn? :ROFLMAO:

D&D Is Hiring a New Brand Publicity Manager

Wow! From personal experience, the turnover in Marketing is brutal, never mind this industry. He was never getting paid enough.

D&D Is Hiring a New Brand Publicity Manager

I'd make the joke about the new person getting ready to be laid off on Xmas, but Tito was there for while, I think?

    Redoing the Red Box?

Then I would stick to Basic D&D 5e Rules format of four classes and four species, reduce the analysis paralysis. Perhaps also curate the list of spells, weapons, and skills, especially where proficiency bonuses are concerned for each class and just provide the final numbers. Again, cutting out...

Dragonbane: Path of Glory pre-orders out

I got mine a couple of week ago and the paper seems really nice and the map is also a thick paper stock. Though I wonder why you'd give a player's hand out that also has secret information on the other side? Like most DB products, there's additional bits and bobs a GM can steal for their own...

Worlds of Design: Why Buy Adventures?

And this is why the OGL was pretty much invented. Financially, a company has to make adventures of several types to even entice a GM who does buy adventures. One GM's dream module is another's trash. It creates a lot of product that sells slowly for the individual SKUs. WotC hoped lots of...

    Ravenloft Novel Coming in 2025

Before the book stores got an three month exclusivity deal, selling the novels in the game store as the adventures were also coming out were a big draw. So the two different departments actually complimented each other. As for the fall of TSR, that probably had more to do with the company...

    Ravenloft Novel Coming in 2025

On a more serious note, I encourage people to look up the authors of media tie-in novels if you really loved their work. You will probably find more stuff you'll enjoy. While some may think this is obvious, I had a friend who loved certain IP and wanted me to read a great book he had found in...

    Ravenloft Novel Coming in 2025

For me, the Ravenloft novels where some of the best D&D stuff. They were always unpredictable and kept you guessing to the end.

    Ravenloft Novel Coming in 2025

I always wondered what would have happened if TSR had not been locked in the exclusivity contract had been able premier books and book stores on the same dates instead of months afterwards.
