I love Orcs, although I fancy them more like the LE 1st Edition variety, battling goblins on Acheron in their afterlife. Roger Moore's old articles really formed the basis for my Orcs.

I would go for Story First... using only the vaguest references to D&D rules. A good plot that uses only a rough outline that matches a renowned module would be ideal... something like Against the Giants or Keep on the Borderlands as a basic backdrop, then insert some characters but don't try...

Work towards Shadow Adept (in the Players Guide to FR, and originally in the FR Campaign book). Soon as you take one level, you effectively get 3 Feats, and the whole Shadow Weave thing works well for Illusionists.

Seconding the option of taking Paladin (or appropriate variant) to get Divine Grace. Charisma bonus to All Saves is awesome.

No.. I said a Holy Undead Bane Weapon (total +4, 32K) and/or Undead Bane Ghost Touch Weapon (+3 total, 18k). I was giving options, since I do not know the types of undead primarily involved (maybe lots of different ones). And on the subject of cost, loaner from temples or town they are saving...

Put laptop areas at each place setting, but also build inserts that can be placed in that area if a particular player is w/o laptop.

Just get Undead Bane, Holy Daggers (+4d6 to most evil undead) to get by while you are in this necropolis. Maybe a Ghost Touch Undead Bane for the occasional incorporeal undead. Better than burning Feats for wishy-washy Sneak Attack options... better to use those feats more productively.

The Forgottern Realms Campaign Book & some other supplements like Player's Guide to Faerun has Shadow Weave stuff, which may or may not be the sort of thing you are looking for. Also see the same for details on Shades (race, city of, etc)

For chairs, I suggest that you look to your local chapter of Freecycle (do a google search). It is a great site to get stuff like chairs and such that folks no longer need... and everything is FREE!! Just post a request, and let all the good natured folks contact you with their free stuff.
