Actually, though I'm currently running a Basic D&D campaign, if I were to run a campaign using an unmodified ruleset...it would most likely be AD&D (1st Edition). Just a matter of taste really--so, if nothing else, in a purely subjective sense AD&D would be superior for my needs. :)
