We'll still have players that blow their piles on one encounter and try to rest.
It will be interesting to see the kinds of over-optimized builds that players come up with so that they can get by with per-encounter abilities, and just keep going and going and going...
I've checked for blogs MUCH less since they moved to this format.
If they can group all the bloggers into one group and make it clear where the new blogs are on a single page, that would be best for me.
People are just stuck on Warlord, aren't they :)
Oh well, if that's what they want, I won't complain.
First impression of the name is like a huge army commander or something, an image every new player of DnD would aspire to. When I started playing DnD, I was happy to survive a kobold and...
I like the idea of slow death. In 1e and 2e, I usually didn't let death poison kill a character immediately - I gave the PC's 1-2 rounds to do something about it.
If you got stung with Orcus' tail and failed your save, though, you were toast. I suppose some death effects can be that extreme...
[Savage Tide spoilers!]
Well, according to a late entry in the Savage Tide adventure path, she's currently residing in a manor at the shoreline of the Styx, somewhere deep in Niflheim in Hades. Or maybe that's just a vacation getaway for her. Her current residents are some arcanaloth...
I wonder how much of this is covered in the final adventure in the Weave trilogy (Anauroch:Sundering of the World - or is it Empire of Shade now?) coming out next month...
Well, a recent issue of Dungeon magazine (#149) with her on the cover quite explicitly details where she is :) But yes, I think that issue of Dragon will give you a bit more info about her ambitions.
Castle Amber because I haven't seen anything done with it yet. I don't know how well a group of level 4 PC's could expect to do against so many high level NPC's, but meh :) Losing PC's is part of the thrill of that adventure. It should probably recommend a party of at least 6.
Slave Lords...
I always saw zombies and skeletons as the 1st level no-special-abilities junk undead for PC's to practice on. I like the flavor changes that are being made. I expect we'll see stats for large, huge, small and tiny versions as well.
I would probably switch AFTER the community has had some time to bang away on the rules and discuss INTELLIGENTLY the problems that the rules have (creature balance, viability and playstyle at all the levels, magic item balance, unclear rules, XP balance in encounters, etc.). Endless rants...
Hmm, strange. Your link works (thanks for that), but I can't seem to get the article to come up in any list, either.
Still waiting on Demonomicon:Graz'zt. *tap tap*
