D&D 5E (2024) What older setting do you want to see next?

I voted Birthright, but all I really want is some sort of rules to handle mass battles where the PCs features/traits really matter.

D&D General what is a hill dwarf?

I like the way Birthright did it... no subraces, there's just Dwarves (who are literally as hard as stone), and Elves (who are a lot more fey).

D&D General what is a hill dwarf?

Dwarves of the Iron HILLs vs dwarves of the Lonely MOUNTAINs I remember Dragonlance really picked up on this also in the lore, where the hill dwarves were those dwarves that were sent away from the mountain kingdom, and were forced to live in the hills around the mountain.

D&D 5E (2014) A campaign that lasts an entire (in-game) lifetime... what would this look like?

I've been running a generational campaign on and off since 1999, we're now at the 5th generation. Setting is Birthright, which of course is MADE for this kind of games. https://birthrightfp.blogspot.com/

D&D 5E (2014) New Spellcasting Blocks for Monsters --- Why?!

on the one side I like these new stats-blocks, now casters are much easier to use, and indeed you only need info to handle 5-6 rounds of combat at the most. I actually prefer to use their "non-spell" actions, at least it's something new and unexpected for the players. I usually use spells as...

Rank the live action BATMAN films

100% this! If I could ask one thing to DC, would be "please, don't make a Marvel movie!"

Rank the live action BATMAN films

difficult to rank them, as they're such different movies! The Nolan trilogy was my favourite, until "The Batman" came out. This movie is just 100% what I wanted from a Batman movie, I hope it also becomes a trilogy.

    D&D 5E (2014) New Feats Survey!

I really liked the way 13th Age handled Feats. They always added a little something to a power or talent or spell you already had.
