DarkMatter D20: Drunk Southern Girls with Guns ... UPDATED - 8/18/05!

Yep, there's only so long you can get away with claiming some tangential connection to Drew Barrymore before you have to actually write up another update...:)

Medallions d20 Modern (Update Wednesday 09-20-06)

Actually, we play with the VP/WP system and have dropped the massive damage rule. With crits going directly to WP, it's deadly enough as is.

Medallions d20 Modern (Update Wednesday 09-20-06)

Here's a question that Drew and I have been mulling over. When Drew begins writing up Episode 2, should he begin a new thread or continue posting to this one? I'm of the opinion that he should begin a new thread to encourage feedback posts; I think people tend not to post until they've read...

Help me with some rule variants

Just a thought, but you could hybridize the wondrous and wand rules for something like this. Use the wondrous item creation rules to build the longsword, then the wand rules to make the power supply. Check out the D&D SRD here.

Modern Backdrops available and it's cool.

I don't normally enjoy landscape either, but I think it fits with this format. It seems to allow more text to be on the same page with the maps.

Modern Backdrops available and it's cool.

Hey C, To be honest, I read through San Carillo the day I got it and haven't been able to read any more (too frickin' busy between work and "real" life). As I said before, I think one of the great strong points in the product is the hooks for various levels of FX. Our Modern campaign is...

Help me with some rule variants

Actually, in the VP/WP system, the WP acts as that buffer. Once you're out of VP, you are fatigued. Any WP damage you take forces a save or you're KO'd (and useless). VP comes back quickly (level per hour), WP comes back slowly. In a no/low magic campaign, any WP damage becomes a hassle...

Help me with some rule variants

Here's the most current WP/VP thread: WP/VP conversion for d20 Modern Note that with the WP/VP system, only heroic types have VP. Thus any type of damage to an ordinary will cause a Fort save or be KO'd. Any crits go straight to WP, so even heroic types can get knocked down quick with a...

Modern Backdrops available and it's cool.

Just picked it up today. I read through the bulk of San Carillo and I am impressed. Our games are all custom campaigns and something like this that is generalized enough to drop in pretty much anywhere is great. I especially like how you've split up the encounter FX levels to make it easier...
