Still, it's unfair for small sized PC's to be unable to properly wield magical staves unless they resize to a more appropriate length. There isn't a hard and fast rule that can be applied to this, which is why "like most magic items" means to me, what the DM allows. -F

Here's a question... what about other items, like staves? Insofar as I know, there's no function in the DMG to randomly roll up halfling sized magical staves as treasure. Does this mean that dwarves, halflings and gnomes must make their own staves, or do magical staves automatically resize...

The trade-off is that you don't get a +3 to your attack against the monster with DR. Sure, you bypass the DR, but your attack is less likely to hit his AC. Sounds like a decent trade-off to me. -F

Not sure if this has been brought up before... When a defending weapon, say, a +3 is fully activated, is the weapon still treated as a +3 in regards to damage reduction? -F
