1001 minor traits for magic swords

    134) Painter's Blade (the Picasso) Different color paint (ROYGBIV?) constantly drips from the blade. On a critical hit, all within 5' are coated in that color. EDIT: I suppose this would make tracking the individual automatic.

Multiclass Monks and Flurry of Blows

I don't know what to do with it. The Paizo boards are a bit of a mess on the topic. They do have a post on there that you do indeed add the BAB of other classes, but I'm not sure where. I'm almost thinking that the FoB is based on the BAB of the Monk + any other class, so that if you...

Multiclass Monks and Flurry of Blows

I'm trying to figure out a Monk's flurry bonuses and I'm not sure if I understand the rules correctly. Can someone help with the bonus and explain to me what I'm doing? I have an 11th (Pathfinder Monk), 5th (3.5) Psychic Warrior (BAB +3). I have allowed a feat (actually chain of two feats)...

Writer's Block -- Help with Finale

Yes, this sums it up. I think that he might be the key. I like the undead assassin idea... and it ties them to soften the group before the end. She's a sorcerer who focuses on cold and winter. I even made her an interesting staff (of winter). The whole arms thing should definitely resurface. She...

Writer's Block -- Help with Finale

I've hit some creative writer's block. My campaign is nearing its end (7 PC's @ 16th level) and is racing towards completion. I have have a lot of loose ends to tie up but I really don't know how to do it. Can anyone spark my imagination a bit?!? Here are the threads. From 1st...

    Tumble problems

Odd thread this one.... To the OP: I used an opposed check to determine Tumblin' success. The AoO roll of the opponent the creature is trying to roll/jump/shimmy/slide/wiggle/glide past versus the (maxed out) tumble check of the acrobat/clown. I never liked the thief just rolling past...

Blood Wind, touch range spells, and summons.

I think that you can summon/control up to 2 your HD of undead. I would have to look. There are feats to take and other spells that augment summoning. This will give extra HP per HD as well as bonuses to hit and the like. I would have to look for these things. IM(last)C, I had a 20th level...

    Less flexible ability rolls.

I think that is the beauty of this type of game. Normal resting is now the norm. So, curses when they happen, would be VERY rare. Monsters might be around, but not in immense numbers. The ones that are out there are definitely nasty. I don't see this game going very far, much like 1st edition...

    Less flexible ability rolls.

You are right, but in a game like this, you would have to just lay in bed and heal. You might get some of the achemical chicken soup to help things a long just a tad bit faster then regularly healing, perhaps an expensive pultice that just gives you a rash, but otherwise, you are leg propped up...

    Less flexible ability rolls.

I see where you are going now. I don't think your system is too harsh for what you are doing. I might make it even more strict. Roll up a few ability point arrays. And then have them roll off for the arrays. Say you have 4 players, then they can roll off for who roles first for the...

    Less flexible ability rolls.

But I get the OP's intentions. He wants something more realistic, in terms of the D&D multiverse... which is a tall order. But I get the "more real" aspect of what he is shooting for. He doesn't want to play game X, he wants a realistic D&D game. I agree that is tough to produce without a...

    Less flexible ability rolls.

I like rolling for ability scores, but I also impose a few limitations for my players. I wouldn't care for rolling for race... but I can see that working for at least one campaign, why not? I let the characters roll 4d6 for each stat, and reroll and one "1." You then take the highest 3...

Painted Privateer Press Miniature (where to buy?)

I'll paint it for you for a good rate, but if I were you, I'd pick up a basic painting set and do it with your son. I got into this whole hobby by painting minis with my father, I was around 8 or 9 at the time. Reaper has a learn to paint kit that is pretty good. Reaper Miniatures ...
