    Scar Ripper

Ok, I think there is a spell out there that is similar to this, but I can't find it anywhere. Plus, I think the other spell does a certain amount of dice of damage in stead of a set amount per level like mine, so, is this unique enough, or just derivative? Scar Ripper (evocation?) Level...

Challenging my high-lvl group (NPCs and monsters; my players shouldn't read this!)

Help. I know this question has been asked before, but not by me ;) . Where can I find the Rider of the Flame prestige class that Nolin had from being joined with a Phoenix? I'm considering letting a player in my game take it, but I have to review it to see if it fits first.

So How Does Your Group Distribute Treasure?

All groups but one I've played with do the need before greed method. The time I played in a group that totaled the value and the characters bought items there were times when an item had more value that any one character could afford, and the item was sold. It really sucked to, because it was...

    Immortal Template?

I've created a homebrew Immortal template. I tested it in my last game and have some bugs to work out, and I'm testing it again in my current game. If enough people ask I'll post it here.

Feather Tokens. What interesting ways have you used them.

Well, maybe creating a tree token requires destroying an existing tree.

Does this give too much away?

It will probably reveal the fiend sooner that I want, it won't be able to get away with causing as much evil as it could.

Does this give too much away?

I guess I should have mentioned this in my first post, but the goggles are from Libris Mortis, and the monster is from an online adventure I found called The Hellcow by Keith Baker www.atlas-games.com/pdf_storage/hellcow.rtf. The goggles were rolled up as random treasure. They looked fine at...

Does this give too much away?

Currently, one of my players has a set of goggles that lets him see if a creature is alive, undead, or a construct. The group encountered a cow that was possessed by an incorporeal extra-planar creature, so since it has no body of it's own it's lifeforce should overlap the cow's. So, I told...

Davemage or Shilsen - check this out!

Chaldfont, Runtime and I have the same avatar also, but he had it first. I think there's someone else using this avatar also. I think its inevitable that people share an avatar with as many people as there are on the boards.

Feather Tokens. What interesting ways have you used them.

Yeah, dropping an item is a free action, so that would work great.

Feather Tokens. What interesting ways have you used them.

So, what interesting and unique way have you or your players used a feather token in your game? I had an NPC use a Tree Token to push back a PC that was laying a smackdown on him. I could have had him activate it underneath himself so he would be 60' up and have time to heal, but I decide...

    Bad DM stories

I played in a Birthright game a few years ago. The DM was a clsoe friend of mine, or so I thought. We were all supposed to be human, one character was a half-elf. No one was to be of evil alignment, one character was. Everyone started off by somehow losing all wealth; within a few turns...

Wish via a Spell-like ability, any limit on XP spent?

I played an Efreet in a campaign a couple years ago, and the character made it high enough to cast wish, but it drained 5000 XP each time.

    Running Gags

There are several in my group My wife plays a flying character, and had an encounter where she was hiding “20 feet up, just high enough nobody can see me” and her character died. Now whenever anyone asks where her character is someone always pops up with “20 feet up, just high enough nobody...

    Giving potions to unconscious characters

Oops. Um, would you believe I have very tiny characters in my game? Well, that's what I get for not reading the potion description carefully. Anyway, the PC's had fun.

Its a new campaign and your DM offers you the following options

I'd go all same race, but just to be a joker I'd try to convince the DM we all need to play 1/2 dragon Beholders :D .

Is there such a thing as a Biomancer?

    Yes, its called the Druid.

    House rule for Undead Lieges

Personally I would craft it up as a feat. Otherwise you're giving some extra power to your NPC's (unless PCs can get it too), or else just toughening up the bad guys so the PCs don't go through them like a hot knife through butter.

    Giving potions to unconscious characters

Correct on all counts, but lets go over this anyway, hmmm? 1. Mage Hand Target: nonmagical unattended object. From a players point of view I could argue that the potion bottle is nonmagical and the spell effect isn't touching to potion itself. 2. Sure it can, but I would think a person...

    Crystallize Potion. Critique please

Oooh, I just had an evil thought! A crystallized potion would probably be a lot more fragile than a potion bottle, so the DC to keep one intact in the event of a failed save would be ridiculously high. Any suggestions?
