D&D 5E (2014) Tyranny of Dragons New Cover Reveal

They already updated and cleaned up the adventure when the single volume version was first released a couple of years ago, so why would they need to changes things again for this re-release? Are people expecting it to be updated to match the 2024 rules revisions?

D&D General Which D&D Words and Things are Post 1608?

1400s, not 1600s. The actual English word "rapier" was also in use by 1600.

D&D General Which D&D Words and Things are Post 1608?

The way technological advances can happen so quickly, it is weird that the first spyglass did not happen until over 300 years after the first eyeglasses were invented in the 13th century.

Did you all catch the call-out for Camryn Manheim in the scene in Willow's village when discussing which route to travel?

    Willow - Official Teaser Trailer

Both episodes were good and definitely still feels very D&D, just like the movie.

    Willow - Official Teaser Trailer

There is a lot of good stuff on there right now, or coming soon, that is not Star Wars or MCU, if you are avoiding it because of those. Willow debuts this week. the National Treasure series starts next month. The Santa Clauses series has been fun so far. And The Mysterious Benedict Society is in...

Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (spoilers allowed)

Chapek's big issue was not with the movies being made, but how he was a lapdog for the anti-LGBT+ people in Florida. He tried to fix it, but he was too late. As for movies and Disney+, it was his decision to release Black Widow only for streaming, getting sued by Scarlett in the process...

    Star Wars: Andor

Also a year's worth of Mon's dealings with the Senate and her husband and daughter. And a year's worth of Dedra hunting Cassian and the other rebels. And a year's worth of Syril and his obsessions. The last two could go somewhat quiet if all the rebels just disappear, but a year in politics is...

    Star Wars: Andor

I don't have the link to the interview handy, but the director, Tony Gilroy?, said that the beginning of season two is set a full year after the end of season one. So we will not see any of the immediate aftermath of the finale, unless we get more flashbacks.

    Star Wars: Andor

Also, was it just me or did others expect those weird flutes, and other overly complex-looking instruments, to be concealing blasters?

    Star Wars: Andor

I am just so glad that the writers did not give in to the tired old trope of "woman falls for her male rescuer". I was so ready, but not ready, for the cringe of her kissing him.

    Star Wars: Andor

Considering how dark and gritty Rogue One was, and Andor is trying to be, I am quite surprised there were no deaths of major characters on either the Rebel or Imperial side in the finale. Sure, a couple of peripheral characters died, but nobody major. So of all the stuff from all 12 episodes...

    Star Wars: Andor

Other than the GotG Holiday Special on Friday, nothing for Marvel until Secret Invasion in the "Spring", though What If? season 2 is also listed as "early 2023", so we may get that before Secret Invasion. For Star Wars, Bad Batch season 2 is supposed to start on Jan 4, and then Mandalorian some...

    Star Wars: Andor

The problem is uneven pacing. You get a slow episode, or two, followed by a couple that are more tense and exciting, then another slow, and so on. For example, while some people thought the first two episodes were fine, that are a lot of viewers who are very glad that the first three episodes...
