I don't have the link to the interview handy, but the director, Tony Gilroy?, said that the beginning of season two is set a full year after the end of season one. So we will not see any of the immediate aftermath of the finale, unless we get more flashbacks.

The problem is uneven pacing. You get a slow episode, or two, followed by a couple that are more tense and exciting, then another slow, and so on. For example, while some people thought the first two episodes were fine, that are a lot of viewers who are very glad that the first three episodes...
