Back to the Future: OD&D or BFRPG?

I would agree with this, as the last of the BECMI/Classic/Introductory line ended at the same time as AD&D 2e, and from that point on there was only D&D 3e --> D&D 3.5e. While there was a Basic set, it wasn't a separate game.

Gary Gygax has passed. RIP beloved father of RPG's. (merged)

I am very grateful that enworld gave me the chance to share a small bit of communication with Gary via his thread.

D&D 4E Vote for your favorite 4E PHB cover!

The third... While the Player's Handbook is not intended to be the entire Dungeons & Dragons game, it is the one book that everyone at the table should have. For some players, it may be the only D&D book they ever purchase! The Player's Handbook should evoke a feeling of group-oriented...

1 square Diagonal Movement: Reaction from Players

I've been doing it this was since 3.5 came out. It saves a tiny bit of strain on the old processors of the brain. Not much, but every small bit counts.

    D&D 4E 4E PHP cover art changed

I'm glad to see that WAR will be doing a new cover, no matter what the reason.

What classes did you play, which did you like?

I've had some fun times playing barbarians, usually multi-classed. I didn't vote in any direction for the bard, because while I've played one, he died too quickly for me to decide if I liked him or not. I love the 3e cleric, and I'm always willing to play one in a group that doesn't have a...

Windtalkers assignment - an alignment thread.

I would say that kind of action falls under Lawful Neutral... however, if the other character suggested this first, or consented, and was obviously of sound mind, it could fall under the D&D auspice of Lawful Good.

    D&D 4E The 4e PHB : Cheesecake Y/N?

My problem isn't with cheesecake/lack of cheesecake. I just don't like the cover. I prefer the art we've seen that is supposedly slated for the DM screen (the green dragon one).

What are you going to do with all your 3.x stuff?

I dumped most of my 3,0e stuff as soon as I heard about 3.5. The only 3.0e book I still own is the Living Greyhawk Campaign book, which I love.

R&C Art, the Women of R&C

I prefer women with translucent flesh, not mud-women. Fafhrd's ghoul-friend was hot.

The Tielfling and The Gnome: On the Set of 4th edition

If the intent of the video was to communicate that tieflings are munchkins and that gnomes are fun, then mission accomplished.

    Dungeons, Dragons, and Demographics

I voted "I don't like the look of 4e" but I want to clarify that almost all of the rules changes look great -- it's the fluff changes I don't like.

    Looking for "old-school" tattoo ideas!

Bring 3d6 to the tattoo parlor. Right before the artist begins, roll 3d6 six times and keep the stats in order. Choose a race and class. This is your new tattoo. It doesn't get much more hardcore oldschool than that :-)

    D&D 4E I know exactly what 4e needs -- Mr. T!

I came to suggest Colbet -- so I'm glad he was nominated in the first reply! Matt Groening and Conan O'Brien would be wonderful (fantasy) options.

    OD&D - AD&D 1e Adventures Updated for AD&D 2e

Really? I could swear that Return to the Tomb of Horrors for 2e had an additional 200 page adventure campaign.

    OD&D - AD&D 1e Adventures Updated for AD&D 2e

Very excellent. I should note that what I'm really interested in are the D&D products published prior to 1983 and their revamps / revisitations / return tos / reduxes. I didn't specify that in the original post because I figured that would be such a narrow focus that it might scare off any...

    OD&D - AD&D 1e Adventures Updated for AD&D 2e

Outside of the silver anniversary Ravenloft, I'm not really familiar with what modules the other titles are updates of.

    OD&D - AD&D 1e Adventures Updated for AD&D 2e

I'm trying to make a list of first edition (and earlier) modules that were updated or somehow expanded upon in 2nd edition (excluding Forgotten Realms). The ones I can think of off the top of my head are: Return to the Tomb of Horrors Return to the Keep on the Borderlands Against the Giants -...
