I don't know why, but I really like the Fiend Slayer by Monte. It was in an issue of Dragon a little over a year ago. Interesting class and a nice combo of arcane spell-casting and old fashioned butt-kicking. Plus, it had wear fiend skin before the acolyte of the skin in T&B.

I'm building a wilderness campaign now (last campaign was city-based, so this is a change of pace). Here's what I'm writing up for my players as far as native races of the land. Most of these will be unavailable as PC's, but it's inline with what kind of tweaks I tend to make with races...

I think the animated shield is your best bet, but why waste the time with a buckler? A large shield would give you a better AC. The other thing to do is harrass your cleric to cast magic vestment on you. Maybe pick up a partially charged wand and have him use it on you.

Now that chainmail has been canceled, any chance we could hear the story of where you intended it to go? There were rumors about a yuan-ti faction, were they true? What were some cool figures that were in the pipe, but never saw light of day?

My only hang-up is that I won't every say that I 'role-play'. The phrase has too many other connotations (sexual role-playing, learning to play nice role-playing, things like that) that I don't like. I say that I am a gamer, and that I game.

Your post nearly made me laugh. That's exactly what my players do. The funny thing is that they'll put the most random, low-key people on 'the List' just for being rude to them. At one point the question was not who in the campaign was on the list, but who wasn't.

While I suppose it's possible that one person gave Eric the bulk of the info he credited to Anonymous, I'm pretty sure that it was just a name he used to hide someone's identity, and thus Anonymous was never just one specific person. Of course, Eric is probably the best person to answer that...
