    Help with forums?

A few months ago, I posted a thread Titled something along the lines of "Help me choose my feats, weird ones only please." The response was decent and I have gained a few levels since then. Rather than post an update that won't mean anything to most anybody, perhaps somebody who can search...

    Scariest Monsters?

Wraith The idea of ability drain from a creature you can't even hurt is scary for me.

What does damaging/boosting mental abilities feel like?

I was implying ability damage in Int, Wis and Cha would be a lot like how you would feel first thing tomorrow morning ;) Especially if you have never tried it before.

What does damaging/boosting mental abilities feel like?

Go out tonight, drink 3 liters of vodka on the rocks. Report back tomorrow morning with your findings.

He made a perform check of 40?

Think Jimi Hendrix doing the Star Spangled Banner. A stroke of genius that is talked about and still played many years later. It also is a huge part of his legend. A 40 is a nice performance, leaving the patrons absolutely astounded and unable to talk about much else for a while.

    New rogue special abilities.

What would you use for the prerequisites for the Death Attack feat? Anything save or die should have tough prerequisites. I am curious what you think would be suitable.

Help me pick my feat progression. Weird feats please!

Yeah, there was only one option for free exotic weapon proficiency. Eventually, I may decide to switch instead to sword and board, or even two weapon style with bastard sword (min maxing be damned :)). At this point I am going to get to WW attack as fast as possible, then maybe go into a...

Profession skill and the use there of.

5+ ranks in a related profession skill will get you a synergy bonus in a skill related. Profession:Archivist gives to Decipher Script Profession:Acrobat gives to Tumble etc. The skills themselves often don't have much use in game, as mentioned, they are often for flavor. HOWEVER, if a...

    Regional benefits

I kind of like this one, choose a few higher level feats that have nasty prerequisites, and then half the numerical prerequisites for those feats. A character from an area that is known for specializing in one weapon type could thus get Improved Crit in that weapon at 4 BA instead of 8 BA. Or...

Help me pick my feat progression. Weird feats please!

Do you have a link for those update sheets, Darklone? I would be interested, as I haven't looked through that book lately, and I don't own it.

Help me pick my feat progression. Weird feats please!

Will Karmic Strike work if you get hit on an AoO? And could you then immediately use a trip from improved trip and then get your other attack? And what about Elusive target. I guess with a character with both Karmic Strike and Elusive Target, opponents are damned if they do or damned if they...

Help me pick my feat progression. Weird feats please!

That is an interesting idea, I think I may consider leadership in a few levels. The Improved Trip thing seems possible as well, combined with Spring Attack. I am looking into the Complete Warrior Tactical feat Elusive Target, which (among other things) makes you a very dangerous target to try...

Help me pick my feat progression. Weird feats please!

I am currently playing a 4th level Human fighter in the Scarred Lands setting. The game is happening right now in Hallofaust (city of necromancers) and the characters don't seem like they are heading somewhere. I have just been informed by my DM that he is not going to allow Riposte (from the...

    Stock Human fighter feats

No kidding, I agree completely. Think of modern fighting forces, and then draw parallels to professional armies in D and D, and all low level fighters doesn't make sense. First, even new, fresh out of boot camp soldiers have had a rigorous training schedule designed to toughen them up and...

Vin Diesel Once Again Speaks About DND

It is very common for famous ball players for instance to post on the sites that follow their teams, either as unknowns or publicly. If you were a famous rich guy who really liked something, you definitely would have enough time to waste on posting about it once in a while....

Vin Diesel Once Again Speaks About DND

Unfortunately the pope is *old* and nods off frequently during games. You should hear how whiny Bush gets when the pope is slow to roll and attack. Vin has to separate them from time to time.

lol@ solve arguments. I imagine this just gave them both many more reasons why they are in fact correct.... I agree though, this was fantastic reading, and I am glad I checked the forums today.

Moonweb - Players Guide to Faerun

Right, but the fact that you have to rely on a second casting of the same spell for complete protection greatly weakens the spell. Same goes with needing to be in a room with 10' ceilings. Also, since it is 10' high, it couldn't be cast in a room with 8' ceilings..... Plus, it still isn't a...

Moonweb - Players Guide to Faerun

The thing is that it is only 10ft high, so any character with even a moderate jump or climb can get inside with you in a second, and then you have to abandon your safe haven, or stay in a 5ft square with a basher who is going to put your lights out in a few rounds of full attack. Since it is...

The weapon that got the shaft

And a rapier is just a short sword with a better crit range. A lot of weapons are similar, but spears shouldn't be the weak sister of all weapons.
