If you replace every plank and nail in a ship...

depends on the speed at which they were replaced: For example: TPK? = totally new party. (poor schmucks) We lost part (x) here and part (y) there? = time for the original party to fill in the following party. the group is the same, even if the last founder is dead.

    How stupid is stupid?

Quoting for truth. Trust me, he'll be reasonable for play purposes but... -Quick to repeat gossip, slow to consider the feelings of others. -Fast to take to one of his own emotions, especially Anger. -No long-term planning. Whatever happens tomorrow won't happen until tomorrow...

    Anti dwarf traps

A pressure plate activated hammer that swings up at dwarven crotch height? Sixillusionary dwarves singing Hi-ho, hi-ho?

Remember, Nale is the Fighter / Sorcerer / Rogue multiclass... Though i'm wondering how he got that coup-de-gras on the veteran guard... I could have sworn that NPC had more levels.

    The vampire county

Ahh, but this requires the vampire to get close to ANOTHER thing vampires can't stand... Fire. Makes it significantly harder to burn out the villagers. Plus, Vampires have one other problem: various authors ascribe different feeding requirements to them. Anne Rice makes 'em almost...

Entering into the third act, advice requested.

Right. I've read the replies, and it was just a 2-am Caffeine-withdrawal inspired plot device... Hmm... well, I got six days to think of something. Maybe a Half-dragon (at the appropriate ECL. for the rest of the party, perhaps a bard?)

Entering into the third act, advice requested.

Okay... here's the thing... My players have just finished the second "act" of my Dragonstar campaign at level 8. (It ended, as always, with a grand set piece battle. (Though this time they were the ones who were in the tank.) Sadly, we lost one PC. i only have three players in my campaign...

    No familiar, thanks.

Well, Sorcerer in PHBII gets "Metamagic specialist" at 1st level, they can apply metamagic feats to spells they know without increasing casting time. And wizards get "immediate magic" which gives them a spell-like ability from their specialist class. Frankly, i'd sooner take the staff over...

    Help Name This Game

dittoing SkirMASH... with Skir written in a regular font, and MASH! done in a comic-explodey font. Also: suggesting an alternate tagline here: "Any setting, any forces, any perspective."

    OoTS Tribute comic?

It certainly looks like it... Robert Zakheim's Legendary is drawn with a style very reminiscent of the Order, but instead of pen and paper, it focuses on Console games. Just thought you might be interested :)

    EXP for MVP

The game system "Godlike" actually has something for this: though godlike is a point-buy game. At the start of play, you get one point for being there. Then, at the end of the session, the DM awards another point to everyone who contributed, stayed in character, and contributed to the game's...

    D&D vs WHFRP

Frankly i'd disagree with it being "more tactical"... even if it IS basicly a fantasy tabletop war game dropped down to the players each controlling one, single unit Anyhow, the lack of a grid is the only real tactical difference i can think of. Of course, the "one molecule" rule was still...

Adventure ideas from the D&D cartoon

I liked "City at the Edge of Midnight" where the D'jin was holding children captive, forcing them to keep the gears of the clock from turning.

    D&D vs WHFRP

What you need to know about WHFRP Compared to D&D. 1. The Character creation is largely out of your hands. When they say "roll up a new character" they aren't kidding! You can complete a WHFRP character with only a minimal engagement of your brain. You roll all your stats, your character...
