I am looking for some cities.

If you liked the short format, then Dragon magazine's occasional series covering real world city histories will probably be of interest. Take the details. Change the name. Sketch out a loose map, or recycle a city map from any product where you find one - Dungeon, WoTC books, probably...

Is the "official D&D product" really that big a deal?

I don't stick to WoTC only products. I tend to stick to known authors and/or publishers I trust though. I also like full color, so WotC has an edge there over most of their competitors.

    GURPS or HERO?

Hero is more cinematic by default. GURPS more pseudo realistic feeling. Hero I think is easier to map to multiple genres than GURPS once you know the basics, because the point costs don't change. Everything in Hero is an ibality though. So if you are sometimes imagination impaired, or just get...

    Superhero RPG

M&M 2.0 is good, but you asked for non-d20, so Hero or Savage Wolrds.

    Gurps? Where do I start?

Consider Hero if you're willing to play a crunchy toolkit system. I think it's more flexible than GURPS. As for me, I'm interested in rules lite right now, and am considering Savage Worlds.

    High Seas Adventures!

Maiden Voyage from Atlas Games takes place aboard a ship. Also, I don't know offhand, but I wonder if there's anything in an old Dungeon magazine. I think there was one called Salvage Operation, by Mike Mearls. I recall one with a Paladin infected with lycanthropy who took the PCs out to do a...

    Stealing Vecna's Godhood

I'd consider having Olidimarra find it an interesting challenge to work behind the scenes to steal Vecna's godhood.

    RPGs with the Best ART

Mutants and Masterminds Freedom City setting. Their 2e rule book is good too, but not nearly as good as the 1e in terms of artwork.

Is there a cure for the originality/perfection brain disease?

In an old Dragon or Dungeon editorial, Eric Mona pointed out that the familiar makes game/campaign/adventure accessible. It's hard to convey something totally original in a gaming environment, and while borrowing plots, or riffing on cliches makes for bad fiction, he suggests it makes for great...

Giants in the Earth style thread - nominations for subjects

The Memory, Sorrow and Thorn characters would be cool, as would Fitz, Chade and the other Farseer characters. I'd like to see Conan, and Solomon Kane (generic d20 versions, not tied to their rule sets) The Characters from Harry Potter From more historical and mythological tales: Rasputin...

    Sean Reynolds' Klauth stats?

The WotC archives have all the Wyrms of the North 3e conversions except for Klauth. Does anyone have the stats from that web article, or a link that works where I can get them? Thanks.

D&D and the Cthulhu mythos: Adventure ideas?

Isn't a lot of the feel in the mood, rather than the mechanics? Change descriptors to make spells seem ...off... somehow, or like they're powered by eneregy from the Far Realm. Possibly the Dragon issue with the Far Realms article would be helpful. Investigation and unknown could play a...

    Is encounter books next?

And WotC did this with Book of Challenges. I assume it didn't sell especially well, because we didn't see more "blue/GM books" after that. I like the idea though, especially if I get large maps like with the fantastic locations products.

Any news on d20 Delta Green?

That last I read they were expecting their shipment in April. I sent them an email asking when/how I might order a copy, and didn't hear back. I don't see a way to order it on the web site, but maybe I missed it. Anyone know anything about it?

Interview with Scott Rouse, Chris Perkins & Bill Slavicsek

Regarding Chris' question of what I'd like to see... Here it is. Probably not everything that I'd like. But at least the stuff that first comes to mind. Make the game easier to play, not harder. Right now the crunch makes it one of the harder games for me to play. Create tools that make it one...

Now WotC has taken Dragonlance (merged)

I don't think this is a wotc property.
