Nope. That's not the only reason people like to roll their stats.

    D&D 5E (2014) Player's Handbook Binding

This is why Frog God Games/Necromancer Games decided to go with 16-page folios that are stitched and then those folios stitch-bound into the spine. It's the same method that is used for textbooks... in fact, that's our printer's main area of concern. :) In making the decision for the printer...

D&D 5E (2014) now that FR is the generic setting, is darksun also by extension?

I would also like to point out that FR isn't the "default" or "generic" setting of 5E. It's the setting of the first adventure series. Those two things are mutually exclusive from one another. Heck, the cover of the PHB features the Fire Giant Snurre from "Against the Giants: Hall of the Fire...

    D&D 5E (2014) Polymorph -- Odd Wording

I also feel that "pulling a lever" is a bad example of something that requires hands to do as you can do such things with your mouth (for example). Requiring hands, to me, would be things that include fine motor control - writing, sewing, picking a lock, etc.

The books are black and white. There's no way that we could produce three color book at that price point.:)

While there are some small action scenes, most of the art is focused on presenting the creature. A visual description, if you will. Actions scene art is what we tend to reserve for adventure modules.

Thank you, Nebulous! Spread the word far and wide! The more people who hop on board, the more content we will be able to bring you as adding monsters (as well as adventures) is built into our stretch goals. :D

    D&D 5E (2014) There's one thing about 5E I don't like...

Not getting a bonus isn't a drawback. Taking disadvantage on every skill with which you aren't proficient is a drawback. Just figure out what skills are worth to you in your game. If proficiency bonus in 3 skills isn't worth +2 ability score (equivalent to +1 to all skill checks associated with...

    D&D 5E (2014) There's one thing about 5E I don't like...

As for the skills, there are 18 total in the game, most people start with 4 (Rogues start with 6, Bards with 5 and can get up to 8 if they go the "Lore" route). There is absolutely no drawback to not having a skill. You just don't get the proficiency bonus on your die roll, you still get your...

    D&D 5E (2014) There's one thing about 5E I don't like...

Starting weapon proficiencies for martial classes are HUGE groups. Fighters are proficient in all Simple and Martial weapons. Note that it doesn't say "ranged" or "melee", so they're proficient with every weapon in the PHB. (listed on page 149). Barbarians - Simple and Martial weapons, same as...

D&D 5E (2014) Do you like the simplicity of 5E monsters?

I love them. Easy to create, easy to design. Everything I need is in the fluff text. Although I wish that "Number Appearing" and "Environment" were still part of the stat block.
