    What's up with Scottish Dwarves?!?

Except, of course, that 3rd edition Dwarves have dark skin and dark hair. So my blonde or red-haired dwarves will be retarded, just like blonde Japanese people are.

Druids & RttTOEE: Viable PC Option?

Stone Shape, Soften Earth and Stone, Meld Into Stone, Spike Stones, Wildshape, the elemental spells they have, not to mention all the spells in the Complete series and PHBII...Druids have plenty of versatility.

My PCs have land! Now what?

If my experience with the video game Darklands is any indication, a Lord should have adventurers show up either squatting on his hunting lands, verbally bamboozling the game wardens into letting them stay there or have them constantly inquire as to his treatment of commoners and whether he...

Dragon Shaman - Gimme something to go on here...

    *Yoink* I like this idea.

Dragon Shaman (and other "aura" / buff classes)

Bards are also free to use their spells, since the song lasts for five rounds after you start singing, you can sing for one round and then stop singing and then start casting spells--Summon Monster, Glitterdust, Suggestion, Charm Person, Grease, Pyrotechnics, Sound Burst, Slow, etc.

Is mounted combat just a waste of time?

If you're in a plainsy type area,it really sucks being attacked by horse archers.

    Necromantic Druids

Check the PHB, dude. LN druids are core. OP: Don't forget to check Complete Divine and PHB II for some off-beat Druid spells like Infestation of Maggots.

    "It's a joke name, sir."

Ferries the townsfolk around the city, does he?

    Way too much loot?

Wow. That sucks almost as much as one group in my university gaming club. Mostly it's mostly the same group of people in two different games: 1) A D&D 3.5 turned homebrew monstrosity, into epic levels with custom PrCs and classes powered up to compensate for not having much magical gear...

    Where are the angels?

    LOL.

Nasty trick with Planar Binding spells!

Al-Haz-red. Abdul Alhazred. That was the man's name. Personally, because this brings D&D into the realm of CoC, I'd let the spell work...but whether it brought what the caster wanted or whether the creature is bound is another factor entirely.

    Core Religion Survivor, round one

So...all tease and no please, eh? Where could I find some action on that creation myth? I voted Corellon Larethian. Because I hate elves. I mean I REALLY hate elves.

    Those funny n00bies

In 3rd edition you get a free set of clothes worth 1 gp or less with a starting character. But you still have to write it on your character sheet.

How do monsters spend gold pieces?

Totally agree here. The OP is WAAAAAAAAY off in his thoughts on gold pieces.

Creating the Snake Plissken Dilemna in D&D

Quivering Palm. If you're directly trying to duplicate Snake Plisken, it lasts 24 hours. You could also easily use a Limited Wish or a Wish or a custom spell to lengthen the time the vibration lasts... Damn you, you beat me to it! :p

Wizards are supposed to be rich, right?

Moolaw? Is that Jet Li's character in the animated parody of The One where everyone is a cow? Anyway, you can't get unique magical items or resources sitting around casting spells for money and you aren't destroying demons, devils, evil cults of spellcasters, yuan-ti or whatnot. There's...

Why you should never assume OR-- How I screwed my character over with a single choice

I think you screwed your character over by not taking a single spell that didn't allow SR. I meank, Maximized Empowered Melf's Acid Arrow or Maximized Ice Storm is a great way to smack something down.

    How do you pronounce "Sahuagin"?

Suh-hway-gen. [Llast syllable is short, and a "g" NOT "j" sound] That's how I say it, anyway. Unlike drow, tarrasque, and some others, I would be open to other pronunciations.

    Does anyone play Kult?

I was worried about my GURPS Call of Cthulhu having rifle plates and lots of body armor and stuff. Then it occurred to me that what one really should protect in Call of Cthulhu is not the body, but the mind. I don't worry about it so much now.

How to: Cthulhu in the 20's.

 Try your local library. It's a lot cheaper. There will be books with Lovecraft stories in them. However, most books will have like the same five stories plus one or two more. The Call of Cthulhu, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, The Shadow Out of Time, The Dunwich Horror, The Rats In...
