D&D 5E (2014) Lolth in D&D Next and Setting Hopping

Bleh. Keep Eberron pure please. I don't want Forgotten Realms anywhere near Eberron!

    Get Rid of Splatbooks Altogether

Unfortunately WotC likes making money too much for them to do so. There will be splatbooks. It's about time people got used to that. As long as WotC is in charge of D&D that won't change.

The Four (or Five) Primary Classes

Why have primary classes at all? Doesn't the fact that they shadow out potentially cool concepts right out of the gate kinda overshadow any pro they could possibly have? Another sacred cow that needs to be slain / remain dead. And I must spread experience points around before awarding them to Pour.

    Info leaks, Wedding spoilers?

GRRM has made me hate and fear attending weddings.

Has there been any word on the Something Awful leak?

Has it been discredited or is it actually legit?

    D&D 5E (2014) Who's given up on D&D Next?

I pretty much have. I won't throw in the towel until I see the legit public playtesting and whether or not they treat the fan feedback fairly but...Mike Mearls and Monte Cook just are NOT advertising the system I want.

    Multiclassing: What I'm hoping for

No. I want multiclassing to be fluid and not set in stone. If they are going to bombard us with options through splatbooks they need to have a quick, easy, and efficient way for us to use those options with our current characters in the next session rather than having to create a whole knew one.

Throwing down the Tyranny of the Spellcaster.

I am taking notes on who is and who isn't a beholder itt. All Beholders should expect an adventuring party at their door step within the next couple of days and more to come after. Miserable creatures.

Throwing down the Tyranny of the Spellcaster.

As per poll above: There are several ways to nerf magic-users. As a wizard/sorcerer/etc. player, which of the following appeals most to you: Limiting Options In this option, we constrain all wizard classes to narrow thematic bands, such as "Elementalist" or "Necromancer". Fighters suddenly...

    Something Awful leak.

This leak makes me so mad that my nose is bleeding.

    Something Awful leak.

Any news one way or another about the validity of the leak?

    Something Awful leak.

It could easily be fixed by giving the weaker undead a 1 in Charisma, couldn't it? I suppose that it would also make them vulnerable to charm and bluff type effects too but they could easily make undead blanket immune to those types of things. I dunno. I really hope this was just an error on the...

    Something Awful leak.

Either that or the order came down from up high to "stop doing that" when it came to confirming the truth/untruth of leaks after the last big one.

    Something Awful leak.

Anything that is behind a > is just their forum users responding to the playtest. That's not actually in the playtest itself.

What would you like to see happen with FR?

I want the devs to finally wipe their hands of FR and move on to greener pastures. It worked for MTG and Dominaria and it'll work for Forgotten Realms too.

    Something Awful leak.

This has to be fake, right? No way WotC would do this. I mean they do some questionable things on a regular basis but :):):):) everything about this.

    D&D 5E (2014) The Biggest Issue in 5E

The system longevity is a big thing for me. I need a guarantee from WotC that they aren't already planning a 6E and won't be for at least 10 years before I'll hop on the 5E train. I'm sick of putting money into an edition that won't last.

    D&D 5E (2014) 5E and the "Competition?"

WotC has done a lot of bridge burning in the past decade and Paizo has done a lot of bridge building. Whether or not WotC continues to burn bridges remains to be seen but it clearly hasn't been working out for them.

What edition had the ideal version of each class?

Fighter: 4E (hey I can do stuff other than be the speed bump, yaaay!) Cleric: 4E (hey I can heal AND kick ass! yaaaaay!) Rogue: Pathfinder (hey finally I'm not overshadowed by the ranger yaaaay!) Wizard: 4E (Hey finally I'm no longer shackled by the Vancian system, yaaaay!)
