I missed the condition for using the bite. So it's fine. But since it's not a given it wil be able to use it, should it be even more fearful? I mean, so that players really don't want to be grappled. Maybe it requires two saves or something a la 4e to get rid of the poison effect, and/or poison...

Does anyone know the Pathfinder supplement Irrisen, Land of Eternal Winter? It's about a land locked in, you guessed it, eternal winter, but apparently people still live there and all. It might give some ideas as how to run/handle RotIM, but it might also just use a lot of handwavium.

What a charming Pit Fiend :devilish: I feel that it should be able to do something to grappled enemies. Maybe a bite bonus action attack (yeah, yeah, I know about maintaining CR :cool:)

IME the character mechanics are too 4e to really convert. But everything else is a piece of cake. Just insert whatever reskinned monster you need or build your own. I've done it with no sweat, plus it has the added bonus that I can set the level to what I need. Someone already converted the...

+1 for Silver Marches. Also, the Neverwinter Campaign Setting for 4E is made of awesome - bimming with open ended plots and adventure ideas. (and easily converted)

Which is all cool. The reason I asked is that one is a subterran empire of undead, the other a magical empire of flying cities. IMe, when people substitute one element from a setting with another, there's just some similarities (other than they are both eviiiiiiiiil) :)

We know. But this is just uploaded and free. Like I said, the purpose of spending ressources on prepping this and then offering it for free is not clear to me, if it's not in preparation fo doing something with Birthright.

Is there any particular reason the Assassinate trait for the Azer is superior to the Bugbear's?

The thought was, it makes it close to official 5e CRs and this is the edition they're designed for after all. That also imo feels like a nice spot. Maybe aim for around that? Looking forward to it.

But why not stay closer to 3e, 4e and 5e CRs, and then let the number of mythic stages be the upscaling factor, like you considered in an earlier post? Edit: myself I'm thinking a base CR of the 4e CR minus 5 (except Gods) . So Demogorgon CR29, Tiamat CR30,Orcus CR28, Ancient Red Dragon CR25...

I really like Demogorgon at mythic CR28ish and Tiamat (the uber dragon) being CR30ish. Closer to WotC, not just bigger numbers and actually sort of fightable for 20th lvl tricked out parties with some boons. A bit concerned with 'regular' dragons going so high, not too mention Amman, who is not...
