The Golden Key: From the Casebook of Nigel Spenser (Updated 9/16)

Yikes! Threw the wand across the room!?!?! Phew, that was taking a bit of a chance!

    Dungeon #130

I actually took time out of my work day, came up to the boards, and searched for the thread I knew would be here so I could comment on this issue. Dungeon is generally very good IMO, but this issue, or what I've read so far, has been simply well beyond very good and somewhere into the legendary...

Just got my Dragon Compendium - Pretty!

Yeah, I'd be all the heck over a Dungeon Compendium of any kind, but there are a lot of cool things that could be done with the format.

    Good 1st level modules

I think that's my favorite. Gorgoldand's Gauntlet is good as well. I think the first module I ever played was "Village of Hommlet" so I have a soft spot for that one as well. In general I'd say Dungeon might be the best place to find a good selection.

TSR Example from the worst TSR adventure module(s) ever published

OK, that one finally got me, I laughed right out loud while sitting here at work. Hahahahahahahahahaha!

Plea to parents: Introducing children to the abstract concept of games

Maybe something along the lines of Rel's Samantha the Red Story Hour? I would think that could be done with two kids, though it would be more difficult. With the right co-op "puzzles" I would think it would work, and be a blast for everyone.

The Quests of Samantha the Red (pictures included-updated 8/5)

I'm pretty sure she's got a real pretend sword now, right? Will that get worked into the storyline ("Samantha the Red and the Quest for the Sword") given as a reward ("thank you for saving us Samantha the Red, take this sword as a symbol of our gratitude"), or will it just magically get added...

Con goers -- speak of thy booty! (Briefly)

I was thinking the same thing romp, we'll have to touch base as GenCon 06 gets closer, and maybe we can team up.

Is that how that happened? That was PURE GENIUS! I think I was busy nearly getting my head shot off at that point. :)

From the Adventures game on Saturday... "But what REALLY happened was..." - several people Angelica (referring to Dame Artemis Haverton): <censored> Sir Denby Haverton: That's DAME <censored> to you. "Alright, everyone get your hands in the air! As long as we get what we're here for no one...

How do I love GenCon? Let me count the ways!

Sounds like something Mace would say, only with a profanity tucked in there someplace... :) That was just a hilarious table, and really I thought everyone did very well. Your seemingly endless store of completly in character one liners was amazing. Heck, I almost got out of my seat a couple...

How do I love GenCon? Let me count the ways!

Crossposted, looks like this is the thread this belongs in: I'm back at home after an excellent weekend at Gen Con. Luckily the Northwest strike didn't effect my flight home at all. The big winner product-wise for me was Iron Heroes. An exceptional system. Five out of five stars. I got to...

    GenCon check-in/check-out/scratchpad thread

I'm back at home after an excellent weekend at Gen Con. Luckily the Northwest strike didn't effect my flight home at all. The big winner product-wise for me was Iron Heroes. An exceptional system. Five out of five stars. I got to meet quite a few ENWorlders, and was lucky enough to play in...

So let's talk seriously about scheduling ENWorlder games at GenCon...

Howdy PC! If you have a spot open on Friday and Saturday I'd love to participate in the games!

The Golden Key: From the Casebook of Nigel Spenser (Updated 9/16)

As a long time admirer of KC's work, I'm not at all surprised at how much I'm enjoying these stories. Take a great chronicler and let him write in an interesting and compelling setting and this is a sure fire winner. Excellent stuff eris and Kid.

What older material are you hunting for?

I have the Chill RPG in what I would consider to be good condition. No idea what I'd sell it for though. The stuff I look for is the Tolkien/Middle Earth stuff Iron Crown published. I have a good pile of them, but I don't think I have them all. Unfortunately I think my list got packed in a...
