I store mine in ... Rubbermaid containers mostly ... but there are some that are loose ... some that are in a large rolling footlocker
If you are curious ... HERE is how I store 20000+ dice
Do keep in mind that you have to cull duplicates ... I have over 20000 with duplicates ... if dice come in sets .. you can count them (ie poker dice have 5 dice) etc

Actually its not that bad
As a software engineer ... I wrote a program that looks for files with dates later than the last update I made ... and collects them for upload
With a fast broadband connection ... it really doesnt take that long
