    Very experienced groups?

Myself, I've got about 39 years of it. The dude who taught me and is my core gaming buddy has a couple of more years on that.

New User Introduction to Fantasy Grounds

That's really awesome! Thanks for doing that. I'm hoping that others will come to enjoy using FG as much as I do*. FG can be quite excellent once a person gets over the initial learning bump. *(or really "did" as world events and the parent-care situation have severely impacted my gaming).

D&D General What tone do you prefer for D&D?

I had to go back and change my vote from Heroic to Other: Beer and Pretzel. I like Heroic games. I dislike serious heroic games if that makes sense. I like the tone of game to be more Firefly-ish: We're Big Damn Heroes, but we ain't gonna take it seriously. We're gonna have FUN being BDH.

    D&D and the rising pandemic

"People with diabetes are more susceptible to developing infections, as high blood sugar levels can weaken the patient's immune system defenses." This is a problem I run into a lot in the Anesthesia field. Many diabetics do not understand how not controlling it can have such system-wide...

    D&D General Stepping back

Unforeseen family issues/emergencies (my parents are getting on in years and recent events (falls, car accident, etc.) have highlighted to my brothers and me that we need to be more available and more hands-on with their care, etc. As such, I will be stepping away from all public forums...

D&D General Old Campaign Worlds - What Have You Used And Why?

When I use published campaign worlds, I typically use Greyhawk for the simple reason that I know it backwards and forwards. Which, while it doesn't make it the best campaign world, makes it the easiest for me to run.

    D&D 5E (2014) Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

Oh, my gosh. It's so much more than that. And the whole orc/hobgoblin mercenary thing is tied into the Great Kingdom and its splintered off former colonies. It's a great Sorta Bad Guy Kingdom.

Why Do You Hate An RPG System?

For me, I dislike FATE because I don't care for how it's supposed to be play. The way it was played when I played it and the way it's played in Actual Play Podcasts is something I dislike. (Aspects, The Compels - Fate Points Relationship). I feel Aspects are too wishy-washy. I feel that Compels...

Critical Role Wildemont <--> Tal'dorei: Relationship?

Oh, ... right. Google is a thing. Coffee. Must have more coffee. (Thanks, @Morrus )

    D&D 5E (2014) Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

@3catcircus , the reason is that your posts, more often than not, appear to be attacking an idea/product/etc. rather than addressing the idea/product/etc. whether intentional or not. And not just in this thread, but usually when you appear in any 5e-related thread.

Critical Role The New D&D Book Is 'The Explorer's Guide to [Critical Role's] Wildemount!' By Matt Mercer

 Because it'd be "official?" 🤷‍♂️ That's all I can think of.

Critical Role Wildemont <--> Tal'dorei: Relationship?

How are the two settings related? Same world; different part? Different world? It's been a while since I listened to CR (picking it back up this week), but I seem to recall Same World; Different Continent because the gods are the same.

    D&D 5E (2014) Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

    I'm a Gen-Xer. You can blame us. I don't mind. ;)

    D&D 5E (2014) Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

Funk 'em. If the players are whining and complaining about the setting I'm running adventures in that I prep in my spare time while they're at home watching a movie, or going out to eat, or whatever, they can suck my Dilly Bar. Harsh language? Sure. But I'm not obligated to run adventures for...

D&D General Music and ambiance -- how important are they to your D&D experience?

I selected Meh because I have no feelings about it one way or another. If it's there, I don't notice it. If it's not, I don't notice its absence.

    Low Fantasy - Best Systems?

I enjoyed the one session I got to play of Modiphius 2d20 Conan. It does that style well.

What's Your Favorite System for Star Wars

I improv about 90% of whatever game I'm playing/running by having only an outline of the adventure and then pulling weird crap out depending on how the dice go and player input. I go entire sessions just RPing with no combat. I found I had a hard time "improv-ing" with the results of the FFG SW...

D&D 5E (2014) Would you play D&D if you knew there would be no combat?

No. In my opinion, there are far too many other games that do no to light combat better than D&D. That and the classes are pretty much built around combat being a thing, if not the central thing.
