    How many VTT users here?

Yeah, it's not hard, but it can be tricky. Before I quit Roll20, I had all kinds of things going like a halo that moved from token to token on their turn, character sheets that automated just about everything each class could do, light sources that turned on and off, etc. And I sometimes have...

    How many VTT users here?

It can be. But if you're just going the basic route, it's super easy to drag and drop a map, plop on a grid, and cover it all with fog of war that you can gradually expose as the players move along. When you get to the fancy stuff like dynamic lighting, it can become fairly high prep AND also...

    How many VTT users here?

It can be, but it's fairly easy to swamp yourself with API script stuff. Roll20 is kinda like GURPS. Start with the baseline basic base stuff and then add things on slowly until you reach your level of saturation. (My level of Roll20 experience: I ran several games on Roll20 for about 4...

D&D 5E (2014) In your Years of Gaming, How many Psionic Characters did you See played

Started Fall of 1981 when I cornered Jay who would become my best friend/DM and forced him to tell me that game he and some other kids were laughing about in the lunch room. I've seen one (1) psi class D&D character since then.

    D&D 5E (2014) Eberron versus Multiverse

So the gods may be able to subtly influence the world, but they're just unable to manifest/interact directly? Nah. That doesn't seem right.

    D&D 5E (2014) Eberron versus Multiverse

Sure. Why not? Or have they influenced the world through means that mere Eberronites can't fully understand. Perhaps the Prophecy is them influencing the world. Or maybe Eberron is sealed away so that they can't meddle with it for some reason... hmmm, I'm gonna explore this idea later. Does it...

    D&D 5E (2014) Eberron versus Multiverse

But... Gods could exist in Eberron, but they just don't stick their dirty fingers into the mix and give it a swirl. I don't think it really says one way or the other. Right? At least, not as far as I've gotten in the book.

Looking for a good Sci-fi setting

Pulled out my copy. It's set right after Eros hits Venus. Pretty much. The game follows the books, not the show. Though the show does pretty good at following the books under the constraints of its media. (Translating books to video)

Looking for a good Sci-fi setting

Yes. This one. I'm a huge Star Trek and Star Wars fan. But I'd jump to run/play this one with a group in a second. It reads really, really well. You do NOT have to follow the plot of the show. And would probably work best if you didn't and just had the show moving along in the background. I...

D&D 5E (2014) criteria for new races to be added to the PHB

As I sorta kinda said in post #4, I'm not opposed to it just as long as it doesn't get to be too much, increase the page count and/or increase the cost of the PHB. Sometimes it's easy to push A-lot-of-choices right over into Too-many-choices Land.

    D&D 5E (2014) Eberron versus Multiverse

Whatever, dude. Still doesn't change that the gods quoted are from Greyhawk: The Overcampaign. As is only right.

    D&D 5E (2014) Eberron versus Multiverse

Why are you fixated on the Forgotten Realms? Those all existed in Greyhawk before the Forgotten Realms. So really... GREYHAWK is swallowing Eberron! Ruuun, Forest! Ruuuun!!

    D&D 5E (2014) Eberron versus Multiverse

Thanks. That's what I thought. I'm only about half-way through chapter one, but it's really tickling my fancy.

    D&D 5E (2014) Eberron versus Multiverse

Right. I should take that word out as it muddies what I'm trying to ask. Thanks for pointing it out! Anyway, the reason I asked about it is: is there a Eberron Book that comes right out and says that the gods don't exist? I thought that leaving it ambiguous (like the cause of The Mourning) was...

    D&D 5E (2014) Eberron versus Multiverse

Wait. I thought, in Eberron, that no one knows for sure if the gods are real or not. Not that the gods aren't real. They could be or they could not be. No one knows. As such, nothing has really changed. The Eberronites still don't know if the gods are real or not. Right? (I'm an Eberronian...

    D&D 5E (2014) What are your favorite/non-favorite house rules?

I wouldn't go down that rabbit hole, @Charlaquin , if I were you. Saelorn has a history of being quite vocal about his vast disdain for anyone who uses anything he deems as "meta" even if it isn't actually meta or makes the game run better for your group. You're just getting yourself into a...
