Druidlights: Spirits of the Natural Order

You have inspired me to create a new category of creature (they may already exist in D&D in some capacity). Its sentient plant life (in the Feywild) that grows around dead bodies and is extremely toxic to the living.

Druidlights: Spirits of the Natural Order

Well I have been thinking about Fey recently and (admittedly with my 5e head on) I think they should be somewhere between Mortals and Angels/Demons, not on a par with the latter. ie. if my Mortal Dragons are CR 24 and and my Epic Dragons are CR 32 (otherwise they would be more powerful than...

Druidlights: Spirits of the Natural Order

I really love the idea of the Druidlights, fey types are often either under-represented or lean too heavily into the Sprite/Dryad/Fairy formula. Out of curiousity though, was there any reason why the progression is 5, 12, 13, 20 etc. I would have thought 5, 10, 15, 20 was a bit...

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

I have art for: Star Metal Golem (formerly Orichalcum); Neutronium Golem and Grigori (a playable race in the new book). Those are the only monsters from the Immortals Handbook Bestiary I currently have new art for. Well the Sadim will be in the new Adventure-Bestiary as it just fits too good...

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

I don't see any reason why they would be considered anything other than an equivalent Challenge Rating in 5e. The Danava seem very like the Empyrean from 5e which was the 'old school' version of the Titan...even though Pathfinder has a few similar flavours of Titan whether good, neutral or evil...

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Yes but I can't reveal it yet, too Meta-crazy. Dragon Purview has a Boon that lets you change Dragon Colour/type with a Hit Dice limitation. So if they want to take on Aspects of more powerful dragons that would be the most obvious way I can think of.

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Glad you liked it. Initial response seems positive. I wish I had more room to detail more Petit Purviews and even stat-out NPCs like Grog God of Beers but the book is already titanic. 'Officially' probably AO, maybe DR 14. If an Overgod is interacting with Gods then its not too far removed...

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Minor update, I have tweaked the Damage Threshold Rules so that the baseline is now Hit Dice x 0.3 rather than Hit Dice x 0.5. Behind the Curtain, the new Damage Threshold formula is: (Material* AC x 0.0273 rounded down to nearest tenth) x Hit Dice. *Not Monster AC So... An Adamantine Golem...

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Fire away amigo - I appreciate the interest. Tricky to calculate at this point since the Boons chapter is still being worked on - plus the last few tiers go a 'tad' crazy. At Divine Rank 30 (ie. the Dungeon Master enters the fray) baseline you are likely hitting 100,000 dice before beginning...

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

There are rules for creating Units of creatures in the book. All done on one page...with a few examples of the Template in the Epic Spell Section: "Orc Army", "Company of Devils", "Reign of the Iron Golems" (where it literally rains 10,000 Iron Golems then they fight for you). Well, off the...

    Corgi of the Apocalypse

I think maybe that's the beauty of creating the Adventures yourself vs. running official adventures (not that there are that many, if any, at Epic Level). Certainly knowing your Party is half the battle though. Monster Templates are really a godsend for epic campaigns.

    Corgi of the Apocalypse

Do you find it tough Challenging a Group of Seven PC's? I'm assuming no, since they were defeated by the Paragon, but interesting to hear your thoughts on the matter? I know that our group massively punches above their weight, but that could just be competent players vs. weak (official) monsters.

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Fire away buddy. That's the current build (I've been toying with minor differences but that seems the best) Each time you gain a new Divine Rank you can change all your Divine Boons. Also if you gain a new Divine Rank and your Ability Scores improve you could choose stronger Divine Boons...

Well if you roll the mouse arrow over the illustration you will know they are Abominations called (aptly) Abominators. These are abominations of Fertility, the version in the book is Challenge Rating 28, I won't spoil what their main ability is (I don't think I have ever seen a monster with the...

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Well there are multiple levels of death, higher dimensional underworlds, heavens and hells. When Mortals die their souls pass through the Underworld (sometimes getting trapped their if their conviction/faith is not that strong) on the way to their respective heaven or hell. When immortals die...

...well in that case I might have to warn you about my God Rules: Epic Bestiary Micah, because from the very first monster (shown below) things get...abominable you could say.

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Hey there Arcanist Amigo, I have two different ideas for Hekatonkeres (one giant-based, one Abomination-based) and I am not far enough along with the Bestiary to know exactly which I will opt for. That said, I'll probably have a CR 36 version somewhere, but not sure if that will be the 'small'...
