One session, a ton of alignment issues...

Chaotic Act for Monk. Not enough for alignment change as he still uphold a bit of a law. chaotic evil act for rogue. Not enough for alignment change due to emotional attachment involved. Evil act for dwarf. He's the only one I think needs to be moved down a notch. It's one thing to lash out in...

    Magic Jar and Invisibility

Does casting magic jar break invisibilty? I'll give a couple of examples. Scenario A: My magic jar is a diamond i keep in my coat pocket. I cast invisibility on myself. I then cast magic jar. Does invisibility break? Step 2. Going from where i left off. Inside my magic jar in my coat. Lets say...

Human rogues can't sneak attack while hiding in shadows?

Is it really wrong that you can't be sneak attacked in the darkest alleys? Unless they have darkvision or some other means of breaking the darkness barrier who would attack somone who's purposely going into the darkest, most dreary areas of a slum? I'd also say since sneak attack is striking a...

Human rogues can't sneak attack while hiding in shadows?

I think the biggest concern should be. How dark are these shadowed areas? Sneak attack is striking a vital point, not easy to do if the target is a darkened form. A form you can see but locate vital points would not be a strong point. Just because it's night, and just because you're in a dark...

    How picky is HIDE

I'm not certain really where this question should go. Since i frequent the rules forum the most however i belive this probally will suit it best. 3.0 Rules I'm playing a halfling rogue. Dex is 22 +6 level 4 so hide is +7 Size modifier is +4 Cloak of Elven kind +10 Sneaky Feat +2 My hide skill...

    Magic Jar, Versus Non detection

I tried magic jaring a Rogue wearing an amulet of non detection. The DM ruled that I can't detect the rogue's lifeforce due to the amulet, and ruled since i can't see him being in the magic jar, i can't trade souls. I tried using that non detection clearly states it affects towards...

Mighty Composite Longbows, am I reading this right?

Actually, if i recall correctly, it was never limited to just +4 in 3.0. I may be wrong, i don't have my books on hand though, i'm just fairly certain because in a recent campaign an archer had a str of 20 and was using a +5 mighty in 3.0 rules.

1st session of my new gaming group!

i'm my experiances. Albeit limited in direct table top roleplaying. People don't roleplay often, and those who do are often not too keen on it. It's unfortunate, but hopefully if you have 1 person who plays out his chr, then eventually it'll rub off the others. Mostly in effect they'll get...

Modification for Half Ogre, Too powerful?

It's basic abilites remain the same Darkvision 60 speed 30 large Reach 10 speaks common and giant favored class barb natural armor remains at +4 However for a purely Rp stance, and somewhat nostaligic from my past I edited it's Abilities to fight my Ogre, Bashed. Str is now +8, as opposed to +6...

Adamantine Armor & Barbarian Damage Reduction

They don't stack unless they each item/feat/ability/etc... stats otherwise. It's mostly to keep power gaming a step down.

Off Hand Parry vs. Two Weapon Defense

An insectile creature has 6 arms, though they are not able to use them to attack. There are no additional game mechanics relating to the extra arms. **Please quote this e-mail in any reply.** ****************************************************************** Darrin Wizards of the Coast -...

    Ability Bonuses, and Immortality

If the dm let them go back. I'd have to say yes. I think it was something of a mistake to let them go back, and then sorta fast forward back to the "now" time since alot can happen over the course of a 1000 years. Course a 1000 years is a long time for any none immortal. A few of them could go...

Off Hand Parry vs. Two Weapon Defense

Ridiculement, Nice, very mature. One thing about Insects and crustaceans. They are very different. Evolutionary, physically, etc. Also you should know bugs meaning virtually anything with an exoskeleton and insects are different too. Insects have 6 limbs. Period. Crustaceans are not subject...

Off Hand Parry vs. Two Weapon Defense

Actually a human can attack twice with each weapon. Just as an extream negative modifier so he requires no feats to use his 2nd hand, he just sucks at it naturally and only gets one attack. An insectile chr only has 6 limbs, 2 are legs, i dunno but i've never see anyone wielding true weapons...

Off Hand Parry vs. Two Weapon Defense

Ehh Pax. Unless I'm not seeing the way the Insectile chrs work Those 6 limbs are your total limbs not 6 arms in addition to your legs. So 2 for feet, 2 for chest and the other 2 are used in your additonal dex/climb/tremorsense. Also, you wouldn't beable to wield weapons in those other 2 arms as...

Magical Clothes, Padded Armor and Dex bonus.

Padded Armor is the most dex friendly of the "armor" choices. 1 ac, 8 dex bonus, it is the exact opposite of Full Plate Mail. A chr rarely gets their dex at the +8 modifier, even rarer still to go +9 or hell even +10, even with items. Is it possible for clothes to have a magical ac bonus, as...

    How can Expedious Retreat stack?

We're using 3.0 rules actually, so curious where is the rule denying it. I saw it neither in the spell description or the item description. Not denying it, i just like a statement clearing it up.
