As has been said, just talk to them and find out exactly what they want out of the game. That'll help everyone in the long run, as too many TPKs can really sink a group and make players care less about the campaign as they never last. Just my .02.

They cast a summon geeks spell by opening up a can of soda while talking about Star Wars. Then they bind them by offering said geeks a soda and some chips. If that fails they bring out the pizza. OK I'm not awake yet, but it would work!

Of the ones I'm familiar with I'd say that Dragonlance, Eberron and Forgotten Realms would work best. Though I have to say a lot of the ones others that mentioned I'm not that familiar with really.
