    Help me find my niche!

Eltern - Give me an idea what you would like to play. Fighter-type. Ftr/Wiz type, etc. If you want a fighter that can do a bit of other stuff, take Psychic Warrior. Decent hps, BAB, etc. And you get to have a huge hp score due to Psi Body, which will allow you to walk in the front ranks. Best of...

    Changes to Core Races/Classes/Feats

1 more spell a day to each spell level they can cast and they get the first 4 spells of the domain only (I am using the Cleric domains) because of their spell levels.

    Help me find my niche!

Try the core rules. More specifically, try NWN which was made according to the rules as envisioned by the makers of DnD (except for the no Paladin/Monk multiclassing bit). It is specifically stated there that they are not the same.

Hyp - It is specifically stated in 3.0 that it is not the same. I am not sure if it transferred over to 3.5, but given that 3.5 is more of a supplement to 3.0, I personally will err on the side of caution and say "yes unless otherwise stated".

    Whatever happened to Shifters?

The best weapon in the game is a greatsword/longsword/shortsword/dagger. Enserric. The most fun, but cheesy, combo in a normal game is a Half-Celestial Ftr/Sorc/HDD 9/1/10. You get 4 attacks a round and all the goodness of a HC and a HD for an effective 4 LA and 4 BAB. Even the Sorc level is...

    Help me find my niche!

Pbd - He does not qualify for ITWF and GTWF if he takes Ranger levels and then Fighter levels UNLESS he also take TWF as one of his feats. This is because Combat Style is NOT TWF. It just emulates it.

    Changes to Core Races/Classes/Feats

Would giving Paladins a domain break the game? They will only get the spell-list and the +1 spell/spell level bonus, not the domain powers.

Increasing AC with a move action

Poor doggie :) I have a House Rule where if you miss by the +4 given by cover, the thing giving the cover gets hit if the roll would normally beat its AC. The dog probably don't have the AC you do, so.... Arf! Arf! *twang* *whine!*

    For Nail - The Psion

For pure paper generic damage output. Meteor Swarm is better if you hit the target with every one of them, and the chap is not resistant to fire. I have already addressed the reason why I think speed output is irrelevant to the discussion. Greater output rate is actually more beneficial to the...

    For Nail - The Psion

Thanee - Let's just run with the base here. At 343 PP, with augmentation maxxed for max damage that is about 343d6 damage. At level 20, you can get 343d6 in 24 spell slots or the equivalent of (17x6+5x6+9x6+7x6) 228 PP. You have not yet touched 6th, 7th 8th, 2nd, 1st and 0 level spell slots...

    For Nail - The Psion

Actually, I calculated it at: 9th level slot = 17PP 8th = 15 7th = 13 . . . . . 1st = 1 The Sorceror still came up ahead and the Wizared about the same. If you add the free autoscale augmentation, the Psion and the arcane casters are not even in the same ballpark!

    For Nail - The Psion

Empathic Transfer and Body Adjustment ensures that the Psion can heal as well if need be. They can be team players, if the player plays them that way. Now, for Thanee's assertion that Sorcerors are only slightly more powerful than a Psion. A 20 level Psion has 343 PPs. A Sorceror has the...

    Fighter/Psion

Nail - As far as we can tell, it was ordinary. Touchsight said it was ordinary. But an attack roll of 30 bounced off. I didn't immolate it because it didn't attack me. Guys, I don't care what that guy said, okay? I didn't even read his post. But he attacked me in another thread that I wasn't...

    Whatever happened to Shifters?

Paladin isn't worth it. You only get 9 levels of it by level 20, so most of the Pal's abilities are neutered. Fighter is the only class I'd consider if I play multiclass. After level 4, as long as you do it in even levels, you don't lose anything. The extra feats really help.

    For Nail - The Psion

Basilisk - A Psion that choose to do 10x level 5 spells a day (and this is with 18 Int) and NOTHING else at level 10 is gonna spend a lot of combat time reading a book ;)

    NPC Indy-type guy

He is a Dwarf! :p Wave a bit of shiny things under his nose  But seriously. He is a full time bounty-hunter/problem solver/retriever. Whether it is as a short term cop in a lawless town in the boonies, or retrieving things, as long as the pay is good, he is there. Favoured enemies...

    For Nail - The Psion

Basilisk - A Psion's expenditure is proportionally higher than a Wizard. The Wizard's spells scale automatically as they go up in level. The Psion's do not. To actually look at it, you would have to say that a 8d6 Fireball is going to take up a 4th level slot and a 10d6 Fireball is going to take...
