Players guide to Faerun released yet?

Well, I got mine on saturday. Of course, I'm from Germany. :p Just in case you're capable of reading german, check out the review here: http://www.dnd-gate.de/gate3/page/index.php?id=616 And in case you're not, someone was kind enough to translate ist over here. Starts on page 2, I guess...

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5E item pricing

Actually, they'd expect to pay 4000 GP, since Enlarge Person has it's duration measured in minutes. ;) Apart from that, I can only second kreynolds statement. Just apply a little common sense. The "guidelines - not rules" thing might not fit each aspect of the D&D Game equally. But it certainly...

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5E item pricing

Confusing the player's, justifying an upcoming product on item creation, which will in turn confuse everyone so much as to justify a 4th edition? Dunno. But the intent seems to be unclear at best. Daeinar -Have fun, and know the rules before you try to fix them.

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5E item pricing

Oh, I found an item that nicely suports the "multiply secondary powers by 1.5" interpretation from the sidebar. Juts look up "Gloves of Swimming and Climbing". 2.500+2.500*1,5=6.250 And those underwent a revision, to be sure. Daeinar -Have fun, and know the rules before you try to fix them.

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5E item pricing

I couldn't agree more. The "behind the curtain text" is no leftover from 3.0E. It underwent a significant change. Of course, we cannot tell which one's wrong from the Revision Team's perspective - the sidebar or the table. But the table entry just doesn't make any sense at all...

Enlarge Person - useless for Half Ogres

Re: Re: Uhm... no Oh my... misread. Well, we don't have to discuss the fact how broken the Half-Ogre is at LA +1, have we? But that doesn't make Enlarge Person a badly balanced spell. ;) The Revised Core Rules do not contain a single Humanoid creature of larger then size M, and the RMM...

Enlarge Person - useless for Half Ogres

Uhm... no You're wrong in all cases. But just reading the spell descreption would help a lot. Enlarge Person gives you what is mentioned in the description. A +2 enlargement bonus to strength, a -2 enlargement penalty to dex, and the size penalty on AC and attack rolls for the new size. And...

Dungeon #99 - Is the end near?

Well, now that Erik has made clear that writing something her is not futile... Over the past few days I have talked to several friends and fellow players about the whole Dragon/Dungeon thing. The conclusion was, so far, that Dungeon has -at least for a majority of the people I talked to, myself...

    Casters Nerfed, Melee Ascendant (3.5)

As someone who is not a native English speaker, the extensive use of the word "nerfed" really somehow concerned me - until I found out that it does not mean "totally useless" as opposed to simply (and imo reasonably) "weaker".:D

Prestige Class or Pain in the (Cl)ass?

Well that's basically it. BTW, now that 9 out of 10 Prestige Classes are definitely more powerful than any core class, I don't get the point of the complaint. After all, you cannot expect to have a distinguishable character, if you always need Spellcasting Prodigy, Weapon Finesse or Evasion...

Question about Luck Domain granted power

I'd say the ability allows you to reroll all the dice. If you hit someone with a greatsword your damage roll is still 2d6, and I think using the power to reroll only one of the dice seems a bit strange... But I see your Point, Greathouse, since rerolling 20 dice of a high level damage spell...

Druids, Elves and Bows, oh my!

Yes he could. He could of course use arrows with heads crafted from stone. Would make a bit more sense than using wholly wooden arrows... There must be sume rule for stone weapons, I'm pretty sure I read something about that. Just can't remember where it was...

    Deities & Demigods

Well, but "divine" could in this case just indicate the divine quality of this ability. After All, the Powers have all sorts of abilities names "Divine ..." And it would even fit, because Rao has 3/3/3/3/2/2/2/2 cleric spells above 9th level, Tharizdun only has 3/2/2/2/2 cleric spells abvove...

    Deities & Demigods

Well, taking a closer look at the salient abilities of the gods presented in Dragon #294, both Rao and Tharizdun have the "Divine Spellcasting"salient ability and spell slots abvove 9th level, while neither Iuz nor Pholtus have either. How this ability works out in detail remains to be seen...

    Mithral Armour

If I may quote from the SRD: "Most mithral armors are one category lighter than normal for purposes of movement and other limitations. Heavy armors are treated as medium, and medium armors are treated as light, but light armors are still treated as light. "

    Deities & Demigods

Rules for spell slots above 9th level are provided in the FRCs, and will certainly be provided in detail in the ELH.
