New Boston Gameday: October 19, 2013! PLAYER REGISTRATION OPEN

I couldn't have had more fun. Many thanks to all the gameday and crash space hosts. You know how awesome you all are.

Boston Game Day - May The Fourth Be With You (PLAYER SIGN-UPS)

Also, and I know this is last minute, but if anyone in my game wants to bring a matching group of d6s, that might help. I have a ton, but it's sometimes fun if everyone has their own color. You'll need about 10 (though you'll be rolling 4 or 5 most of the time). Also, writing implements are...

Boston Game Day - May The Fourth Be With You (PLAYER SIGN-UPS)

Did you forget that this is a game day? We're gamers; we don't walk, and we certainly don't walk outside where the sun might shine! - Seonaid, too lazy to log out of JC's computer

Boston Game Day - May The Fourth Be With You (PLAYER SIGN-UPS)

Looks like we are somewhat short on players. Are we expecting more folks? I should also mention that my game works best with 5-6 players. I guess it could work with 4 (even though we are at 3 right now) but much of the fun is based off the PC interactions.

Boston Game Day - May The Fourth Be With You (GM Sign-Up)

Game blurb! The Guardian's Bureau: Most Dangerous Game Martians, oh those tricky Martians. All has been quiet ... almost too quiet the last few weeks of the ongoing silent invasion. They had to be planning something big, either that or something else was in play. When a info drop arrives in...

Owl Hoot Trail: spaghetti western + fantasy = awesome. Come playtest!

I'd love to playtest it but it wouldn't likely happen until a few months from now since all my gaming is done at cons and gamedays. If you are still interested in more feedback further on in the year I'd love to help. :)

    Mass Effect 3 (SPOILERS!)

One thing about ME3 that was odd was the difficulty level compared to 1 & 2. I had to play on Hard to not blow through things with ease. Died PLENTY on hard! :)

    Mass Effect 3 (SPOILERS!)

the tablet war is heating up

I'd say none. Especially now with so many options and platforms.

the tablet war is heating up

Okay, we've now pretty well established that the iPad is perfectly fine for business users. Some more than others and it certainly isn't right or viable for all situations.

the tablet war is heating up

I imagine the devs still get all the cash to produce the codes for Apple so they pay for them up front. The vibe I got was that the program is an afterthought and will evolve at some point when it's needed.

the tablet war is heating up

Don't get me wrong - It's only laughable for Apple's end! It's terrific for consumers and businesses because there is little to no double-check to see how the apps are being distributed. Buy bulk at a slight discount, hand out the codes and go go go. Wanna clone 20 different iPads on one...

the tablet war is heating up

Never said it didn't. Goes on in every industry, too. Marketing is certainly important for getting the word out on a company's product. And all of this is on the companies creating the machines, not the buying public which is what I was responding to as far as who is responsible for creating...

the tablet war is heating up

Yup. After I got settled in with mine I was absolutely shocked at the multiple uses I could put it to at work and how productive I could be. I do agree that the email support isn't the best but it did the trick and plenty of my colleagues used it with no issues. That said, I typically used my...

the tablet war is heating up

Yes, but you do have an opinion. And that's what I was referring to. Then your system of delivery needs a serious overhaul. Because it certainly isn't coming off like you are seeking anything at all. Placing the blame on others for what you do as opposed to owning it is the first sign that...

the tablet war is heating up

And that assumption is where you get into trouble. We are dealing in an area where one company created the market and continues to dominate it. The onus isn't on consumers to create diversity and competing products, that's on the makers of non-Apple tablets. Either a superior tablet at the...

the tablet war is heating up

To bring up that there are two sides to the fanbase argument that in your words has "slavish devotion" is playing fair. Your opinion on what constitutes a better product is dripping with a sense that yours is the one that is right and anyone who doesn't agree is essentially a sheep who doesn't...

the tablet war is heating up

Apple has their fans and they also have their haters. And everything in between. Can't bring up one without the other and those numbers are nearly impossible to nail down. And to call that fanbase short-sighted, slavish or anything else is also too easy when talking about why the iPad is...
