I have a player that is a monk and wants to cross class as a wizard. His basis for this si so he can use touch base spells to increase damage on his unarmed strikes. Anyone run into this before?

My DM thought there should be a reason for you getting all of the spells. Therfore, while the caimpain was ongoing, he would periodicly give out spells that the cleric could cast, saying his god gave him the power through his prayers to cast X spell, rather then , o look i lvld up, now i can do...

No.. i had a DM who gave the "new spells" to the cleric by saying his god gave him it. I was wondering if ne1 did the same, or if the divine used all spells, and arcane as stated in the PHB

How are these given?? I had an old DM give a cleric spells that his "God" let him cast... but it doesnt say anywere in the PHB or DMG. What do people usually do? I know a wizard gets 2 spells per lvl, and also can scribe them into his SB, but what about the other arcane casters as well?

Can i alow a Palidin cross class to a prestige class (Hunter of the Dead), and still lvl up as a palidin?? Thoughts??
