    Quick Play/Miniatures

Hi folks. Can someone tell me if there was ever a cut-down, quick play version of the 4e rules published? Or perhaps a set of rules tailored for quick miniatures play? I used to play 3e, never played 4e, and eventually stopped playing altogether due to time constraints. But over the last 2...

    Spelljammer Spelljammer map tiles?

Can anyone point me toward some Spelljammer-esque map tiles? Given how prolific Paizo is, I assumed they would have some as part of their range, but not that I can see. Have there been any official Wizards spelljammer map tiles? Thanks!

    TRAVELLER Is Back!

Can someone enlighten me as to why Traveller is such a big deal? I know it's considered a classic and I remember it from Mil Sims mail order catalogues back in the day, but I've never looked at a Traveller rulebook, so would like to know what the big deal is. Why is this such a classic, stand...

    Fantasy monster tokens?

Hi folks. I'm looking for recommendations for D&D monster tokens. Specifically, ones with good clear art, plastic stands, and are about the scale of normal fantasy miniatures. I know Wizards did a Monster Vault for 4e, and they look ok, but it has a book with it that I don't really need. The...

Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide: The First Official D&D 5E Setting

Forgotten Realms? Blade Singers? This sounds like pure fan service. Pass. Someone wake me when we get a product that isn't spoon feeding us sentimental crap like this. Maybe something that spurs creativity & originality, rather than rehashing tired tropes.

    Elemental Evil miniatures

Some fellow has received a case of Elemental Evil miniatures already and has posted a bunch of photos here: http://imgur.com/a/w2c99 I don't think all of them have been previewed before.

Video Review of Temple of Elemental Evil Board Game

When I meet up with friends to play boardgames, it's usually either D&D Adventure System or Eldritch Horror. If we want to have a few games of something or want a relaxed, beer & pretzels kind of experience, we play DDAS. If we want to spend most of our time playing one game that requires a lot...

Video Review of Temple of Elemental Evil Board Game

I've never seen this fellow's reviews before, but he seemed quite disrespectful to the game, e.g. chucking the miniatures around, slamming a hammer down on them, etc. Seemed unnecessary and a waste of a new game.

Advance Play Report: Temple of Elemental Evil Board Game

Seems like you're the only one who didn't find it useful. And I'm pretty sure "will this news article waste Li Shenron's time?" isn't something Morrus considers when deciding what news to post. Yes it was. The title says "Advanced Play Report", and that's exactly what it is. What, that it's...

Advance Play Report: Temple of Elemental Evil Board Game

It's not a review. It's someone sharing as many details as they could remember from playing the game once. These details have proven very useful to a lot of people already. Well, you read right. That's what the D&D Adventure System boardgames are: a simplified version of 4E D&D in a boardgame...

    D&D 5E Using Phandelver in non-FR world

Hi all. I'm gearing up to start my first 5E game and planning to run the Lost Mine of Phandelver as the first adventure. I'm also considering using it as the start of a campaign, using the town as a homebase, in a homebrewed world. Now, I've heard that there are a number of Forgotten Realms...

Take A Look Inside The TEMPLE OF ELEMENTAL EVIL Board Game!

Ashardalon and Ravenloft work perfectly together. Monsters, tiles, treasures, heroes, etc. Some people just shuffle the cards from both games together, but I think it works better if you decide on a theme for the monster deck, add in monsters that match, and only make the deck about the same...

D&D 5E Racial Ability Score Mods

But in 5E the bonuses from ability scores still run +1 every second number. So, effectively, only 10 of the numbers do actually matter, same as 3E. If the scores have a cap of 20, maybe there should be an end cap of 8.
