D&D 5E [GUIDE] My Word Is My Sword: The Paladin Guide

Thinking of doing a Treachery Paladin, but I'm curious as to how I should go about it. All books and UA are open (Except no races with At-Will Flight, or Yuan-Ti). No multiclassing, though. Starting at lv5. I'm starting with 2 magic items of the Uncommon rarity. Thinking Gauntlets of Ogre...

Hill Dwarf Storm Sorc/Tempest Cleric build help needed.

Well, here's the problem. What do you WANT to do? If you want to be a thematic spellcaster, and have a schtick ("I'm a lightning mage!"), there's plenty of ways to do that. Storm Sorcerer, the new Sea Sorcerer, Tempest Theurge Wizard, etc. Note that there's absolutely nothing wrong with being...

help with optimizing the Sea Sorc

The correct answer for "How to optimize a Sea Sorc" is Archfey Warlock 2 / Sea Sorc 18, or Archfey 3 / Sea Sorc 17. The only reason to go a third level of Warlock is for Tomelock, so add Rituals to the Sorcerer. A wise idea, since it enhances the Sorcerer spells known list quite nicely. So the...

D&D 5E [GUIDE] Pacts, Patrons, and Power, a Warlock guide

IMO Moderately Armored is borderline Gold for VHumans, so long as they're traditional Warlocks (Not melee). It's also good if you rolled stats and want to be a a Strength based Warlock. With it, you can just set your Dex at 13 and forget about it. That means you can have 16 Con, 16 Cha, and 13...

Crawford just clarified for me on Twitter: The "Useable 3X" part of Aura of Treachery applies only to Treacherous Strike.

D&D 5E [GUIDE] My Word Is My Sword: The Paladin Guide

And you're gonna be busy! http://media.wizards.com/2016/dnd/downloads/UAPaladin_SO_20161219_1.pdf Love the new Blackguard (Oath of Treachery). I think its among the best Oaths in the game. Sure, its CD damage is poison, but 20 + Paladin level damage? Couple that with a Volo's Aasimar! Sure, it...

    D&D 5E [GUIDE] NADRIGOL's Melee Bladesinger Guide

I want to thank you for taking the time to make this. I absolutely love the Bladesinger, but would constantly flip-flop in my head between pure Bladesinger or EK / Bladesinger. It's great to see all the benefits and drawbacks laid out like this! EDIT: I'm reading the guide now, and I'm sure you...

D&D 5E [GUIDE] I Fought the Law and Won: The Rogue Guide

So I've made a Tabaxi Rogue. Level 2. Here's my stats: 8 Str 16 Dex 14 Con 9 Int 14 Wis 14 Cha It's a two person party. Myself and a Greatsword using Fighter. I don't anticipate the campaign going past level 10. I'm curious about what Archetype you think would be good. Obviously, Arcane...

D&D 5E [GUIDE] A party without music is lame: A Bard Guide

If you're a Rogue looking to dip into bard for whatever reason, at least Venemous Blades doesn't really slow down your Sneak Attack damage. So that's a thing.

Also, do you have any interest in rating the UA Kits of Old options? Or for a handbook, is it somewhat not worth it, considering how it might change before release? Or do you only rate AL approved material?

D&D 5E Green Ronin's Book of the Righteous

Any idea what's in it? Lots of lore-related material? Any player options, like classes or archetypes? Spells?

D&D 5E [GUIDE] A party without music is lame: A Bard Guide

How's the new Tabaxi from Volo's Guide fit for a Bard? I don't know where you stand on rating Unearthed Arcana material, but the Tabaxi are incredibly mobile, so off the cuff, I'd say they'd made great members for both the College of Satire and College of Swords from the Kits of Old UA article.

D&D 5E [GUIDE] My Word Is My Sword: The Paladin Guide

For Tabaxi, it is worth noting that their natural claw weapon is Strength based, not Dex based. Which seems... Contradictory, but Crawford said on Twitter last night to go Monk if you want natural dex-based weapons. To which I say "Shifter".

Tabaxi should make decent Dex-adins. Certainly the most mobile.

+Level radiant damage for one minute once per turn. Yes. Yes, they are good for pretty much ANY Charisma-using class. Warlock (Especially Undying Light from UA) and Sorcerer especially. Wow, they're crazy. Their racial ability is arguably better than most class and archetype capstones for crying...
