WotC's Nathan Stewart: "Story, Story, Story"; and IS D&D a Tabletop Game?

Will they still be charging for the CB?

D&D 5E I believe a slow and light product release can cause more harm in the long run.

I never said I wanted all this in one year. They aren't even really giving us anything on the side to make up for a lack of books. We don't even have a Dragon or Dungeon Mag. These web articles and such right now are a bit of a joke to be honest. The problem Wizards' might need to accept is...

What do you mean by undermined? All games are approved by the DM before they start so if you want a restrictive game then find a DM who will do that for you. Organized games also have limits on what is used so no problem there. If you want restrictive games then run a game yourself. It all...

D&D 5E I believe a slow and light product release can cause more harm in the long run.

What I want: More short term adventures. (Two per month) Lot's of Forgotten Realms books. (I want a really thick campaign guide followed by regional guides that go more in-depth) (FR is really big and has lots of areas that have little to no coverage). Class guides. (I would like to see the...

Why are you saying no every week? Not sure about you but when I start a campaign, I lay all restrictions, if any, before the game is started. I running X campaign and I am only allowing material froms books 1, 2, and 3.

I want lot's of Forgotten Realms campaign material. I don't want to have to go digging through AP's and an MMO to get the information I am looking for. We are getting this stuff piecemeal and it's looking very sloppy.

So basically the problem is you just can't say no and your money basically has your pockets on fire so much that the devil would be jealous of the heat. You don't want me to have what I want because you can't control your urge to buy. Looks to me like you are a gaming company's dream.

And that is exactly what Wizards has done and what a lot of you use as your excuse as to why the schedule is the way it is. When I say I don't want bloat, how do you know I mean down to a trickle? Then you come back with "well you said you didn't want bloat".

You have copies of these polls that prove otherwise? I remember all the polls rather clearly and there never was a detailed question about this. Care to post something different because I could be mistaken?

Why should you care what goes on outside your home game? Why can't I have six books for my home game while you only use three? Why can't we both have what we want instead of just you?

Why am I seeing a lot of "I don't need this" or "I don't need that"? If you want to go that route then you are definitely not Wizards' kind of customer because technically you don't "need" to buy a new edition because the previous ones still work just fine. This isn't about needing anything...

Well if multiple threads on the subject keep popping up then maybe some people find it to be a problem?

I'm not interested in the game being playable with just the core three. While my group and I like the 5th edition ruleset, we mainly play it because it's the edition that is currently supported. The 2nd edition rules are our favourite so if it was down to the minimum I need to "play" the game...

I should have used the title as my opening but here goes anyway. I believe releasing products lightly and slowly is going to cause a lot of people to become extremely critical, angry, and a bit selfish. Let's think about it for a moment. Let's say you buy the three corebooks and you want to...
