is the current game 4e? if so try to encourage the players to "retrain" to the new builds at next level (i'm so going to change to the acrobat rogue). if not have something unforeseen and external to the game which would compel them to move away from the current game - meteor, war, plague...

reason to carry 2 weapons - 1 is melee, 1 is ranged. e.g. sickle, hand crossbow or short sword, dagger. if the target is not adjacent throw the dagger then draw another one (you do have more than 1 dagger right?).

maybe this should be in the rules section. the new rouge power allowing a free ranged attack on a crit - does that provoke an attack of opportunity if you're adjacent?

rouges CAN use bows (or any other weapon) if they take the weapon proficiency feat for it. my rouge used it for the katar which is an awesome weapon - off hand, high crit, light blade.
